4 Day Kruger National Park Accommodated Overland Tour

A great 4 day getaway to South Africa's Kruger National Park, home to Africa's "Big 5".

We will spend the first two days in search of the wildlife that makes this park one of the premier Game Parks in Africa.

On day 3 you will have the oppurtunity to do an optional Game walk before heading out of the Kruger to a traditional Shangaan Village. We then head for the Private Concession area of Timbavati adjacent to the Kruger. You will do an evening game drive this evening.

On day 4 you will head back to Johannesburg via the Panoramic Route visiting highlights such as Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window and Three Rondavels along the way.

Day 1 Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

Leaving behind Johannesburg, the city of gold, we head through the province of Mpumalanga to the world famous Kruger National Park. The next two days are spent exploring the southern part of this vast reserve. We spend our entire first afternoon on an included game drive in your truck. Keep your eyes out for Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo, known as Africa’s ‘Big Five’ as well as many other species of animals and birds. Optional Evening game drive with SANP Vehicle Optional activities: Evening game drive. Day 2 Kruger National Park

Our game drives continue and an early start usually rewards us with some great sightings. Keep your eyes open for the diverse bird life and some of the more elusive animals. Our truck gives us a more elevated view of the park, and the ability to spot big cats and other smaller game that can be hiding in the vegetation. An optional night drive with one of the South African National Park rangers is an excellent way to see some of the nocturnal animals. Optional activities: Evening game drive, morning walk with park ranger. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 Traditional Cultural Village - Timbavati Game Reserve

We leave the Kruger NP and head to Timbavati in the Greater Kruger area, where we visit a wildlife rehabilitation centre before experiencing a traditional Shangaan village. We spend the night in a private game concession and include a night game drive here to encounter some of the area’s nocturnal animals. Look out for those shining eyes! Optional activities: Morning walk with Local Guide.

Day 4 Panorama Route to Johannesburg

This morning we have the unique experience of a guided Game Walk in the concession area in order to get up close to the wonderful African animals. There is no comparison between viewing something from the security of the truck and then tracking wild game with your local guide. On the journey back to Johannesburg we travel along the spectacular Panorama Route. Blyde River Canyon is the 3rd largest canyon in the world, with breathtaking views of formations such as God’s Window and the Three Rondavels. We also see The Bourke’s Luck Potholes, which have been gradually eroded by the Treur River. Your tour ends on arrival in Johannesburg and most groups spend this last night together at a local restaurant. Optional Activities: Dinner in a local Restaurant.
