Zanzibar & Game Parks Safari (North)

Travel from Dar es Salaam to Stone Town to explore the markets and unique architecture. Return to the campsite in Dar es Salaam before a scenic drive to Arusha, Tanzania.

Enjoy a 3-day trip into the Serengeti and Ngorongoro for game viewing. Visit a local Masai village and then have dinner around the truck.

Cross into Kenya, heading for Nairobi.

Day 1 - 3: Zanzibar Island

A local ferry will take us from Dar es Salaam (where we leave the truck) to Stone Town, the capital of Zanzibar. We spend the first night in Stone Town and you will have time to explore the markets and unique architecture. The following day we take a transfer to the northern part of the island where we will spend 2 days relaxing on the beach. Optional Activities: Meals, Spice Tours, Dolphin Tours, Scuba Diving, Snorkelling.

Day 4: Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam – Tanzania

Today you leave Zanzibar and catch a late ferry (or flight) back to Dar es Salaam, and return to the campsite.
Meals: Dinner

Day 5: Dar Es Salaam to Arusha – Tanzania

Today we take a long and scenic drive to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. After arriving in Arusha, those who are going to
explore the Serengeti National Park prepare for their excursion.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 - 7: Serengeti / Ngorongoro Crater – Tanzania

Today we have the opportunity to go on a three-day trip into the Serengeti. This area has one of the most densely inhabited large animal populations in Africa. We game drive in the Serengeti National Park and the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. In October and April the area is known for the circular migration of millions of herbivores travelling in pursuit of the seasonal rains. For those not going to the parks, take this chance to absorb some of the fascinating local culture. 
Optional Activities: Serengeti/Ngorongoro Excursion.

Day 8: Arusha – Tanzania

Today those that went in to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro will return to Arusha where there will be time sit together and share stories of the wonderful African animals seen in the park. The Serengeti is always an unforgettable experience and one that will be shared time and time again.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 9: Kenya - Nairobi

After crossing the border into Kenya, we continue to travel towards Nairobi and the end of our journey. Although the Zanzibar & Game Parks Safari has ended, some groups like to spend this evening at a local restaurant. Optional Activities: Dinner at Carnivore Restaurant
