About Budget Lodge Safaris

African Budget Safaris understands that not everyone is a camper; with this in mind we bring you an assortment of accommodated Safari options that offer great comfort while still taking your budget into account. It is our policy to ensure that the accommodation we make use of is clean and comfortable and foremost of great value.

The majority of the accommodation on Safari is in 2 - 3 star establishments, although there are Safaris that make use of 4 and 5 star establishments. Each establishment is chosen through their reputation and service delivery. We make use of several types of accommodation available at each establishment depending on the tour. These include shared dorm style accommodation, single rooms, double/twin room and occasionally triple rooms. For each tour the style of accommodation will be mentioned.

Lodge Safaris make use of Hotels, Guesthouses, Bungalows, Backpackers and even Treehouses! Generally speaking by choosing a Budget Lodge Safari you will get to see Africa in comfort and style at a great price!

What is the Local Payment?

The Local Payment is a necessary expense that covers a variety of on-the-road costs. All tours maintain their local payment fund in US dollars as this currency is accepted in any country you may happen to visit. As a result we need to quote the local payment cost separately to our tour price.
