Day 01: Nairobi – Kenya

This Affordable Kenya Lodge Safari starts in Nairobi where your guide will collect you from the Nairobi Airport (NBO) and transfer you to the overnight 4 Star hotel in the capital of Kenya, Nairobi city (5 Star upgrade available at an extra cost).

Day 02: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Park – Kenya

Today we check out of the hotel after breakfast and drive south to Kenya's Masai Mara Reserve.

Our drive takes about 4 hours brining us to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve at around midday. We check into our safari lodge and have lunch, before embarking on an exhilarating afternoon game drive in Masai Mara.

After the three-hour game drive, we return to the safari lodge for dinner and an overnight stay near Masai Mara.

Kenya's top safari destination, Masai Mara Game Reserve, covers 1510km² of wilderness in south-west Kenya sharing unfenced boundaries with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

One of Africa's best game parks, Masai Mara, is famous for its population of Big Cats and the annual Wildebeest migration. The Great Migration is an awe-inspiring wildlife spectacle with thousands of gazelles, zebras and wildebeest stampeding over the wide-open plains in search of fresh grazing, in turn attracting numerous predators.

The Masai Mara's vast savannahs and riverine woodlands are renowned for their beauty, creating the movie setting of untamed Africa at its best.

Day 03: Masai Mara Game Park – Kenya

We explore the Masai Mara Reserve, teeming with wildlife, on a morning game drive returning to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon we head back into scenic Masai Mara on another rewarding game drive.

After our three-hour afternoon game drive we return to the safari lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at at our lodge near Masai Mara.

You have the option (at own expense) of taking a hot air balloon ride over the rolling plains of the game-rich Masai Mara - an unforgettable wildlife experience!

Day 04: Lake Nakuru National Park – Kenya

On day four of the Affordable Kenya Lodge Safari we enjoy breakfast, before checking out of the lodge at Mara. Then we journey north into the Great Rift Valley to our next Kenyan safari destination, Lake Nakuru National Park.

Arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park at about midday we enjoy a game drive on the way to our safari lodge and check in. There is some time to freshen up before our late afternoon game drive, lasting three hours. 

Lake Nakuru Park is a compact game reserve consisting of the Rift Lake of Nakuru and the surrounding wilderness in central Kenya.

Lake Nakuru is renowned for its huge flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, with over a million of these pink birds congregating on the soda lake's shores at times. The lake attracts thousands of other birds in addition to the mass of flamingoes and the park is also home to healthy populations of black and white rhino, as well as Rothschild giraffes.

Other wildlife found in Lake Nakuru Park includes hippo, warthog, impala, buffalo, waterbuck, lion, leopard, cheetah, baboons and large tree-climbing pythons.

In the evening we return to the safari lodge near Nakuru for dinner and an evening of relaxation under starry African skies.

Day 05: Lake Nakuru Park to Amboseli National Park – Kenya

Today we depart from Lake Nakuru National Park after breakfast and travel south, via Nairobi, to Amboseli National Park in southern Kenya.

We enter Amboseli Park at about 4pm and if there is enough time we take a late afternoon game drive en route to our safari lodge.

Alternatively we head straight to the lodge and spend the afternoon unwinding there, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Amboseli Park lies on the Kenya-Tanzania border in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya offering spectacular scenery with Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, as a backdrop.

Amboseli is Kenya's second most popular game park, after the Masai Mara, and is famous as one of the best places in Africa to get up close to herds of elephants roaming in the wild.

The elephant herds in Amboseli, numbering over 100 strong, include old elephant bulls boasting some of the largest tusks in Africa. The flat grassy plains of this scenic park make for excellent visibility on game drives as well as excellent photographic opportunities.

Day 06: Amboseli National Park – Kenya

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Amboseli National Park, venturing into the bush on a morning game drive and an afternoon game.

In between our morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli we return to the safari lodge for lunch, and at the end of the day we return from our wildlife adventures for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

The 392km² Amboseli Park is home to black rhino, buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, warthogs, zebra, antelopes and the Maasai giraffe, as well as over 400 bird species, such as hornbills, bee-eaters, pelicans, flamingos and eagles.

Visitors to Amboseli also have the chance to encounter the distinctive Masaai people of Kenya, a unique cultural experience.

Day 07: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi – Kenya

After breakfast today we check out of our Amboseli safari lodge, leaving our luggage at reception while we embark on an exciting game drive in Amboseli National Park.

We return to the safari lodge by midday for lunch and say goodbye to Kenya's wildlife and wilderness on an en route game drive out of the national park.

The Affordable Kenya Lodge Safari ends upon arrival in Nairobi where you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. We hope to welcome you on a scenic wildlife adventure in Africa again soon!
