We then cross the border over to Botswana where we visit the Okavango Delta, the "Crown Jewel" of Botswana. Other highlights on offer in this spectacular country are the Khwai River, Makgadikgadi Pans, and Chobe National Park, home to some of the largest heards of Elephants in Africa.
We will spend our last few days in Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) where you will have the option to partake in several adventure activities such as white water rafting, elephant back safaris and canoe trails amoungst others.

On day one of the Victoria Falls, Botswana and Namibia Lodge Safari you will be met at the Victoria Falls Airport and transferred to your guesthouse in Victoria Falls.
The day is spent at your leisure with a wide variety of adventure activities to choose from, as optional extras at your own expense. Activities include bungee jumping, white water rafting and helicopter flips. The overnight guesthouse at Victoria Falls features a swimming pool, en suite bathrooms, a bar and a restaurant.
Our African safari trip starts at one of the Zimbabwean lodges in Victoria Falls, from where we make our way to our overnight camp in Namibia.
After crossing the Zambezi River and entering Namibia we head for the safari camp located on the banks of the Kwando River, arriving in the early afternoon. Before we have dinner at our Lodge we take an afternoon game drive in Mudumo National Park. This wilderness area is lush with riverine forest, marshes, dense savannah and mopane woodland, in contrast to the rest of Namibia.

Today we drive west along the Caprivi Strip of Namibia to the town of Rundu. We make our way to our next overnight lodge and spend a relaxing afternoon in our Lodge on the banks of the Kavango River overlooking Angola.
There are optional activities available, including a sunset cruise, horse riding or simply relaxing at the pool with a sundowner listening to the sounds of nature. Traditional dancing in the evening is also an optional activity.

On day four of the Victoria Falls, Botswana and Namibia Lodge Safari we embark on a real Namibian cultural experience. After breakfast we head out to visit a church or a school in Rundu, the closest town to our Lodge, to experience the lifestyle and traditions of the Namibian people. In the afternoon you will have more time for optional activities that you may have missed the day before or to relax by the pool.

We depart from our Lodge after breakfast, continuing westward into Namibia to the Etosha National Park. We spend the next two nights in Etosha, going for game drives during the day, in search of Africa’s Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. At night we have the opportunity to see the nocturnal animals of Etosha at the floodlit waterholes of the camps and listen to the wild animals in the park.
During the day we visit the Etosha Pan to view animals like lions, cheetah, elephants, giraffes and the numerous different types of antelope inhabiting Etosha National Park. In the evenings we will enjoy hearty meals around the campfire, prepared by our safari guide.

Leaving Etosha National Park via the Main Gate we drive through to Kamanjab, which is the gateway of the Damaraland. This scenic mountain area is a refuge for the rare desert elephant, black rhino and giraffe. In the afternoon we visit a Himba village for a taste of Himba culture, before heading to Twyfelfontein, our destination of the day. Along the way we stop and take a walk to the bushman paintings and etchings in the area. We also visit a petrified forest, as well as the organ pipes, which are famous Damaraland landmarks.

Heading west out of the dry interior of Namibia we make our way to the coastal German town of Swakopmund on the Atlantic Ocean. The next day is spent at your leisure where you can explore this quaint town or participate in some of many optional activities like sand boarding, quad biking or scenic flights, fishing and more.

Today is spent exploring the barren, arid and sometimes rocky landscape of the Namib Naukluft National Park. Once we reach our lodge we enjoy an evening relaxing out under the countless stars.

On day 11 we visit the world's highest sand dunes at Sossusvlei. There is the option of taking a shuttle to the dunes instead of walking (optional cost of R125per person transfer from 2x4 parking to Sossusvlei/Dead Vlei parking area). At sunrise these red sand dunes, which can reach a height of more than 300m, are absolutely spectacular and provide fantastic photo opportunities. With luck there may even be water in the vlei (lake). After we've had breakfast we head for Namibia's capital city - Windhoek.

Today we leave Windhoek behind us and drive north east to the Waterberg Plateau close to Otjiwarongo. Once we arrive we go for short hike in the reserve to view the wildlife on the plateau.

Departing from the Waterberg we drive deep into Bushmanland and to our lodge, an ideal stopover en-route to northern Nambia.
At the lodge there is time to take a walking trail for some great birdwatching or to simply relax at the watering hole.

Today we take a guided excursion to a local bushman community. Here we are shown the activities in the village, such as the food preparation, beadwork, the making of bows and arrows, poison, hides and medicine being prepared and so forth. Then we take a walk in the vicinity of the village in search of honey or springhare and bush food. After the walk we continue east to Tsumkwe where we stay the night.

We leave our Lodge in bushmanland travelling in 4x4 safari vehicles via Maun, the Gateway to the Okavango Delta, to our lodge located just outside of Maun.
The name Maun is derived from the San word “maung”, which means “the place of short reeds”.
Birding opportunities abound at the lodge that works with Birdlife Botswana, using trained guides to conduct walks around the lodge.

Heading north we travel to our own Bedouin Tented Camp in the Khwai Region. Our camp is located just outside the Northern Gate of the Moremi Game Reserve, a 3 and a half hour drive from Maun.
On arrival at the lodge, there'll be some time to relax before we head out on a night drive hoping to spot some of the numerous nocturnal animals in the area. The following day is spent on a mokoro excursion and game drives in the Khwai River and Moremi viewing the wildlife.
This is a premier game viewing area with huge herds of Elephant, prides of lions, pods of hippos in the river and so much more. In the evening we head back to camp after a fulfilling day out with the African wildlife.

We leave the bush of the Khwai area behind and travel east to the Makgadikgadi Pans, once a large lake the pans are now saline and mostly dry. The rest of the afternoon is spent taking an easy stroll to the elephant hole and relaxing at our oasis-like overnight camp.

Today we head north to Chobe National Park, stopping at one of the vast Magkadigkadi Pans for a closer look. After appreciating the wide-open, uninhabited spaces under the endless canopy of blue sky, we set off for our final stop of the day, Chobe Safari Lodge. On our way to Kasane and the Chobe area we enjoy some game viewing. The Chobe National Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana and covers 10,566 sq km, and has one of the greatest concentrations of game found in Africa.
In the afternoon we go on a sunset river cruise on the Chobe River, getting up close to all that the Chobe Park has to offer, from lions, elephants and hippos to crocodiles and birds.
