At the start of the Kenya Game Parks Lodge Safari you will be met at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi. Your welcoming safari tour representative will then transfer you to the overnight hotel in Nairobi. The rest of day one is free for you to enjoy as you please in Nairobi, Kenya’s largest city. Nairobi is also known as the “Green City in the Sun” and is one of Africa’s business and cultural hubs.
Accommodation: Nairobi Safari Club. City hotel with en- suite bathrooms, swimming pool, bar and restaurant.
On day two we head north, passing through banana, pineapple, coffee and tea plantations on our way to the tree hotel accommodation for the night.
We arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and transfer to the game-viewing tree hotel for our overnight stay, by safari vehicle. Upon arrival at the tree hotel we get to watch wildlife drinking at the waterhole lit by floodlights.
The tree hotel is considered one of the best game viewing spots in the area with consistently high numbers of wildlife sightings. At the tree hotel, surrounded by rain forest, evening and night wildlife sightings include elephant, rhino, giant forest hog, buffalo, waterbuck, and sometimes leopard and lion.

Accommodation: Serena Mountain Lodge, ‘tree hotel' built on the slopes of Mount Kenya, en-suite rooms with veranda overlooking a waterhole, bar and restaurant.

After breakfast at our tree hotel we return to the main Serena Mountain Lodge and continue our journey through Kenya. We arrive at our next destination in the rugged northeast of Kenya at about noon. After checking into our lodge we embark on an afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve.
Wildlife to look out for on the game drive include reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, East African Oryx, elephant, Somali ostrich and other game.

After breakfast at the lodge we take a morning game drive, followed by an afternoon game drive in Samburu. Day four is spent exploring this wilderness area located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro River, sighting wildlife and taking photographs of the wild animals. Samburu is one of the two wilderness areas in Kenya where the famous Born Free book and movie about Elsa the Lioness, took place.

On day five of the Kenya Game Parks Lodge Safari we drive from Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park. Our journey takes us along the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley on a scenic drive via Nyaururu Falls.
Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for the abundance of flamingos drawn to its algae rich waters. Nakuru is also home to numerous other bird species, as well as a variety of wild animals such as leopards, waterbuck and Rothschild giraffe. The park is a sanctuary for black rhinos, as well as being inhabited by white rhinos and hippos. In the afternoon we take a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Accommodation: Lion Hill Lodge, perched on a rocky hillside overlooking Lake Nakuru, semi-detached chalets, en-suite bathrooms, bar and restaurant.

After breakfast at Lake Nakuru, we cross the Rift Valley climbing its western rim into Masai country. The Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for the huge annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson's gazelle moving from the Serengeti in Tanzania in search of grazing. This impressive natural phenomenon, a once in a lifetime spectacle to witness, is known as the Great Migration and occurs every year from July to October.
Masai Mara is also famous for its exceptionally high game populations year round. Masai Mara is also home to the Masai giraffe, as well as boasting a exceptionally high density of lions. We take an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve to enjoy sightings of the rich wildlife found in this vast open park.

Accommodation: Siana Springs Intrepids Camp, set on the eastern edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, at the base of the Ngama Hills. A luxury tented camp with en-suite bathrooms, swimming pool, bar and restaurant.

On day seven of the Kenya Game Parks Safari we head off on morning and afternoon game drives in this outstanding game reserve teeming with wildlife.
The game viewing drives in this open grassland area offer spectacular wildlife photography opportunities. Sightings of Africa’s Big Five (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino) are common on Masai Mara game drives, along with the numerous plains game found in the area. You can take an early morning hot air balloon ride as an optional activity, for panoramic views of the Mara reserve and its wildlife from above (not included in the price).
This area is named after the local Masai people and the Mara River that runs through it. The Masai warriors still tend herds of cattle among the wildlife, seemingly fearless of the large predators in the area. Seeing the red-clad warriors with their spears gives visitors a glimpse of traditional Kenyan culture.

On day eight we leave the wildlife haven of Masai Mara behind, returning to Nairobi for onward flights and bringing the unforgettable 8-day Kenya Game Parks Lodge Safari to an end.
