Kruger Park & Pilgrims Rest Safari

A fantastic 4 star Safari to Pilgrim's Rest and the Kruger National Park at a really great price!

You Safari will start with a collection from your accommodation in Johannesburg from where you will head to the Pilgrim's Rest. On arrival you will check into the Royal Hotel and will then spend the rest of the afternoon exploring this historic old mining town.

The following morning you will again get to exlore the town before heading via the Panoramic Route to the Kruger Park. On arrival at in the Kruger you will get to go on a night game drive in search of the nocturnal creatures of the Park. You days thereafter will be spend inside the Kruger Park. You will get to go on a morning game drive, a mid morning game drive and an afternoon game drive in search of the wildlife of this amazing Reserve. (Including the "Big 5").

Your Safari will end back at your accommodation of choice in Johannesburg.

Day 1

You Safari will start with pick up from your accommodation in Johannesburg. You will then head to the old historic mining town of Pilgrims Rest. You will spend the afternoon exploring this facinating town which was declared a National Monument. The buildings are from a bygone era and the town is rich in history and culture. You will overnight at the Royal Hotel where you will enjoy your dinner.

Day 2

The morning is yours to simply relax or to visit the highlights of Pilgrims Rest that you did not discover the day before. We will then head to the Kruger Park via the Panoramic Route. This area is located in the Province of Mpumalanga and is simply breathtakingly beautiful. We will visit the sites of God's Window, Pilgrim's Rest, Graskop and some stunning Waterfalls in the area.

From here we head to our 4 star Lodge where we check in. After completing the formalities we board our Game Viewing Vehicle and head into the Kruger National Park for a night drive where our Guide will attempt to locate the animals of the night for us.

On arrival back at the Lodge we will have dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 3

It's up nice and early for our fist morning Game Drive. We will go in search of the wildlife that makes the Kruger one of the top Game Reserves in Africa. On completion of our morning Game drive we head back to the Lodge for breakfast. We will have time to relax before heading out again on a mid morning Game Drive. After which we will stop for lunch (At your own expense).

We will depart once again for an afternoon Game Drive and then return to the Lodge for Dinner before retiring.

Day 4

We arise early in the morning and head straight out for our morning Game Drive followed by breakfast back at the Lodge. After Breakfast we head out again for a mid morning Game Drive before we return back to the Lodge where we will check out and board our transfer vehicle back to Johannesburg. We will stop off along the way for Lunch (At your own Expense). On arrival back in Johannesburg your Safari will come to an end.

Transportation:

While we are on the open road between Johannesburg and the Kruger Park we will make use of a luxury mini bus that is fully air-conditioned.
When we go on our game drives the vehicle we make use of is a specially adapted 4x4 open sided Game Viewing Vehicle. This vehicle will be driven by a highly qualified Guide.

Accommodation Description - Pilgrims Rest

The Royal Hotel in Pilgrim's rest is one on South Africa's best known hotels. Its a wonderfully resored Victorian Style Hotel and is a National Monument.

Accommodation description - Kruger National Park

Our accommodation is of the highest standard. We make use of a 4 star graded Private Game Lodge which is situated at the Kruger Parks Numbi Gate. The Lodge consists of 17 Luxury Chalets. Each Chalet is thatched and air conditioned with its own private veranda.

The Chalets are all en-suite and spacious. The main building and the pool area have wonderful views of the valley that surrounds the Lodge. This area consists of the reception area, a bar and great restaurant. The meals served are primarily of a buffet-style and generally have an African Theme. The meal standard is in accordance with a 4 star establishment.

The Lodge is part owned by the Local community of the area and it is the Lodge's policy to employee staff from this community ensuring that the Lodge helps play and active role in the upliftment of the local population.

Note:

Kruger Park Conservation fees are not included in the Price. You will need to Budget around R 150 per person per day for these fees.
This Safari can be done as a 4/5 day package or simply add on the amount of days thereafter you want. Day 2 of the programme will be repeated for the additional days
