Experience the comfort and hospitality of the Malgasy island communities whilst exploring the diverse and picturesque northern islands and their tropical waters.
The first two nights of your stay you will be in Nosy Be where you can kick back and enjoy the slow Island Life! We then continue on to Tanikely where you will get to snorkle in some amazing clear waters.
Its then off to Nosy Komba with its dense forest and large lemur population. From here its off to Lokobie where you will spend your last couple of nights in a unique and facinating jungle village. You can decide what to do for your last few days with options such as riding on pirogues to sea kayaking!
Its then back to the Capital City of Antananarivo where you tour ends.
A morning departure takes you from Johannesburg, South Africa and into Madagascar's capital, Antananarivo. After a quick stop there and a chance to do some last minute shopping, you fly onto Nosy Be and we transfer by taxi to Chanty beach and then by speedboat to Sakatia Towers, which is on a small private beach. The next two days will be spent snorkeling, taking pleasant walks, exploring the stunning beach, riding on pirogues and sea kayaks, and just soaking up the sand, sea and sun.
Lunch Stop: Sakatia Towers
Accommodation: Sakatia Towers ( Small guest house that is owner run and sits on a private beach, 12m above the sea. Restaurant, bar, laundry, fan, mosquito net)
After 2 nights at Sakatia Towers, today we make an early start to Ambatiloka by speed boat and taxi. We then take a day excursion with a beach picnic lunch at Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve - famed for its world class snorkeling and diving. After that, we proceed to Nosy Komba where will be accommodated at Hotel Jardin Vanille or Lilians Bungalows.
Nosy Komba is a small island surrounded by clear water that is perfect for diving. This tiny island is secluded and remote - perfect for relaxation and fun in the sun. The islands big attraction is a large population of black lemur, roaming the trees, and with any luck, marine turtles may be spotted. Our time on Nosy Komba will be spent relaxing on the beach, taking forest walks up the mountain, visiting the nearby Anjibe village and soaking up the sun. Pirogue trips and deep sea fishing can be organized for those who wish.
Lunch Stop: Picnic spot en-route
Accommodation: Hotel Jardin Vanille or Lilians Bungalows (en suite bungalows, mosquito nets, hot water, restaurant)
After breakfast we travel via boat from Nosy Komba to the main island of Nosy Be, where you will check into Sambatra Bed & Breakfast. Just 20 minutes from Hell-ville, its location offers you easy access to the activities contained in the town. You can arrange trips to do Quad biking, visit the local market and Handicrafts market, see the sacred tree or climb Mount Passot.
On day 6, we take a motorised pirogue trip to Lokobe Nature Reserve. Far from the flood of tourists Lokobie Reserve is only accessible by sea and is a haven of peace. Spend the day enjoying jungle walks to see the variety of wildlife, and take in the beautiful sounds of nature. The famous Nosy Be Panther Chameleon is present in this last remaining lowland rainforest on the island.
