Cape Town Cultural & Winelands Package

A short stopover in Cape Town. A perfect add on to any tour beginning or ending in Cape Town, or as a short getaway to the beautiful Cape region! This package will give you a greater understanding of the local communities that make up the cultural melting pot that is Cape Town. Visit the "Townships" that pepper the Cape Town area learning from these amazing communities. You will also do a full day out in the Cape Winelands region of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, getting to learn about wine production while partaking in some of the top wines available in South Africa. A truly wonderful few days in the Cape!

Accommodation Description

Your accommodation for the duration of your stay in Cape Town is an old restored Victorian Mansion. The Lodge has great mountain views, a relaxed pool area, a well equipped kitchen area that you will have access to, and a festive bar area to unwind in. The Lodge is within walking distance of Cape Town city centre. The Lodge offers 4 types of accommodation options, these include: shared dorm rooms, private single rooms with shared bathroom, twin rooms with shared bathroom, or your own en suite twin room in the Guesthouse Section which is separate from the main Lodge.

Half Day Cultural Tour

Cape Town is not all about Table Mountain and the beaches, there is human aspect to this cultural melting pot. The half day Township tour is a fascinating look at the "Township" side of this amazing City. You will get to meet and interact with amazing communities who populate the less affluent side of Cape Town. You will learn about each community's history and way of life. You will meet some amazing people who shape their Local communities. In some ways this is the "real" Cape Town far removed from the glamour, but just as interesting. Highlights include District Six, the District Six museum, the townships of Langa and Khayelitsha where you will visit a community school and Shebeen ,and if your tour is on a Sunday you will visit a Charismatic Church Service. A cultural voyage of discovery!

Full Day Cape Winelands Tour

Enjoy a full mellow day out in the Cape Winelands! You will visit the areas of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl the towns that make up the triangle that is the Cape Winelands. You will do a full cellar tour at the first wine farm we visit, where you will get the rundown of the full process involved in Winemaking. You will then head out to several wine farms in the area doing tastings of the various wines produced on each farm.. You will have a picnic style lunch at one of the farms. On alternative days this tour also includes a bicycle ride in the winelands for the more adventurous. End the tour with a glow back in Cape Town!
