Victoria Falls Adventure Package (Zambian side)

This 3 day package is an ideal add on to any tour starting or ending on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, or as a short getaway to this amazing part of the world.

Your days will be filled with some of the most memorable activities available in this part of the world. You will do a Sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River keeping an eye out for the creatures of the bush that come down to the water's edge at dusk to quench their thirst.

 You will get to come face to face with the African Elephant and partake in an Elephant Back Safari along the banks of the Zambezi River. You then will get to spend an entire day either White Water Rafting the Grade 5 rapids of the Zambezi or alternatively take a more mellow option in a full day canoe Safari on the upper Zambezi taking is some spectacular scenery and wildlife. A really memorable few days!

The Victoria Falls (Zambia) Package consists of the following:

1 x Transfer (to or from the Airport).
3 nights' accommodation in large Permanent Tents ( Bed only Basis).
Sunset Cruise .
Half day Elephant Back Safari. (AM or PM).
Full day White Water Rafting OR Full day Upper Zambezi Canoe Safari.

Accommodation Description:

You nights will be spend in permanent 3m x 3m Bow tents built on raised platforms. Each of these large tents has a small deck in the front section and inside the tents you will find two single beds, an electric light and a small fan. The tents are in a shady area which helps keep you cool in the summer months.

Sunset Cruise

You will set out on a 3 hour sunset cruise where the aim is to sit back and relax while enjoying sightings of elephant, giraffe and even rhino coming down to the river to drink. You will also need to keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles, hippos and some amazing birdlife. The cruise is done at a mellow pace with an expert guide on hand and an open bar to help the time pass. A truly relaxing cruise!

White Water Rafting

The White Water Rafting experience on the mighty Zambezi has been described as the best commercial white water rafting experience in the world. This full day excursion on the Zambezi River is a fantastic experience for those with a sense of adventure. The day is all about clean water, a healthy helping of African sunshine and a dose of exercise; all this against the backdrop of one of the beautiful waterfalls in the world, the spectacular Victoria Falls.

The day begins early with a briefing and breakfast. Its then off on your adventure where you will tackle some serious Grade 5 rapids under the expert guidance of our world class guides. Lunch is included. At the end of the day you will be lifted out of the gorge where you will be met with cold drinks and beers. It's off to the accommodation where you get to watch a DVD of your days rafting. A truly exhilarating experience.

Upper Zambezi Canoe Safari

A great day spent on the upper section of the Zambezi River. You days begins with breakfast followed by a 40 minute transfer to the start of the canoe trail. On arrival you will receive a safety talk , you will then get to practice your paddling skills before setting off on your full day on the River. You will get to see some amazing creatures from Elephants to spectacular bird life along your journey. The days pace is relaxed with an emphasis on taking in the beautiful fauna and flora. You day on the river includes lunch. You journey ends around 16.00pm with a transfer back to the accommodation. A fantastic day on the water!

Elephant Back Safari

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to interact with the African elephant. You are encouraged to actively participate in the ride and connect with these amazingly gentle creatures. Upon arrival you will receive and introductory talk and be introduced to the Elephants. You then will mount the elephants and head off on a bush trail along the banks of the Zambezi River, the ride lasts for 1 hour. On completing the ride, you will dismount and interact with the Elephants on the ground. The whole experience takes about 3 hours from pick up. Please note that the technique used in handling the elephants is based on the positive reinforcement method as opposed to the discipline and submission method.

Note:

Park fees not included in the price for the Elephant Back Safari (Expect to pay around US$ 10 on arrival at the park).
White Water rafting is generally not available in late April and early May as the water level on the Zambezi is too high.
