Victoria Falls Adventure Package (Zimbabwean side)

This 3 day package is an ideal add on to any tour starting or ending on the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls, or as a short getaway to this amazing part of the world. Your days will be filled with some of the most memorable activities available in Victoria Falls.

You will have the choice of 3 activities, these include a face to face encounter with Elephants on a Elephant Back Safari, White Water Rafting on the mighty Zambezi River, an upper Zambezi canoe Safari, a unique once in a lifetime Lion Encounter and a 3 hour horseback Safari.

This is an action packed package offering you a range of activities unique to this magical part of the world. Come and enjoy a memorable few days!

The Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) Package consists of the following:

1 x Transfer (to or from the Airport)
3 nights' accommodation (Choice of Backpacker Style with private room or Exclusive Lodge option).
3 activities out of the following options (White Water Rafting, Upper Zambezi Canoe Safari, Lion Encounter, Elephant Back Safari and Horseback Safari)

Accommodation Description:

There are two accommodation choices on offer for this Package.

The first option is great backpackers situated in Victoria Falls Town. You will be accommodated in a private room with shared bathroom facilities. The Backpackers has a central communal area with open bar and dining area, reception, and internet café. This accommodation option is ideal for clients on a tight budget.

The second option we have on offer is a small exclusive deluxe lodge situated on a Private Estate outside Vic falls Town. The Lodge allows for a maximum of 20 Guests. The accommodation on offer is canvas under thatch Chalets each with its own en-suite bathroom, a veranda with deck chairs that offer a private view of the bush. The Lodge also boasts a central lounge dining area with open sundeck overlooking a waterhole, a bar area and a swimming pool with a great sun deck. This accommodation option will generally appeal to clients wishing for a little more exclusivity.

White Water Rafting

The White Water Rafting experience on the mighty Zambezi has been described as the best commercial white water rafting experience in the world. This full day excursion on the mighty Zambezi River is a fantastic experience for those with a sense of adventure. The day is all about clean water, a healthy helping of African sunshine and a dose of exercise; all this against the backdrop of one of the beautiful waterfalls in the world the spectacular Victoria Falls.

The day begins early with a briefing and breakfast. Its then off on your adventure where you will tackle some Grade 5 rapids under the expert guidance of our world class guides. Lunch is included. At the end of the day you will be lifted out of the gorge where you will be met with cold drinks and beers. It's off to the accommodation where you get to watch a DVD of your days rafting. A truly exhilarating experience.

Upper Zambezi Canoe Safari

A great day spent on the upper section of the Zambezi River. You days begins with breakfast followed by a 40 minute transfer to the start of the canoe trail. On arrival you will receive a safety talk and you will then get to practice your paddling skills before setting off on your full day Safari. You will get to see some amazing creatures from Elephants to spectacular bird life along your journey. The days pace is relaxed with an emphasis on taking in the beautiful fauna and flora. You day on the river includes lunch. You journey ends around 16.00pm with a transfer back to the accommodation. A fantastic day on the water!

Elephant Back Safari

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to interact with the African elephant. You are encouraged to actively participate in the ride and connect with these amazingly gentle creatures. Upon arrival you will receive and introductory talk and be introduced to the Elephants. You then will mount the elephants and head off on a bush trail through the pristine bush and valley of the Masuwe River. On the ride you can expect to see elephants, kudu, buffalo, impala, leopard and sometimes even lions and numerous bird species. Each elephant is guided by a handler and the ride lasts for 1 hour. On completing the ride, you will dismount and interact with the Elephants on the ground. The whole experience takes about 3 hours from pick up. Please note that the technique used in handling the elephants is based on positive reinforcement method as opposed to the discipline and submission method.

Lion Encounter

Without a doubt one of the most popular and unique experiences available in Vic Falls. You will get to interact with African Lion cubs on a one on one basis. The cubs age range from 3-16 months. The actual experience itself is approximately one and a half hours in duration, during this time you will get a real insight into the behaviour of this threatened African species. The lions are unrestrained and roam free as you join them on a walk through riverine vegetation and African bush on the banks of the Masuwe River. The experience is fully supervised under the guidance of an expert team.

Horseback Safari (3 hours)

Experience the African Bush along the banks of the Zambezi River on the back of a horse. This Safari will allow you to get up close and personal with several game species endemic to the area including duiker, bushbuck, warthog, elephants, hippos and crocodiles. The outride is under the expert guidance of game rangers. The Safari is designed for inexperienced riders, and for those who have had considerable riding experience. You will be grouped with riders of similar experience to your own to ensure you get the most out of your outing. A perfect way to assimilate with the natural game of the area.

Note:

Park fees not included (Expect to pay around US$ 5 to US$ 15 for each activity).
White Water rafting is generally not available in late April and early May as the water level on the Zambezi is too high.
