Stay inside Zambia's Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park in en-suite safari tents set on the shady banks of the Maramba River. This affordable Victoria Falls package includes accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis as well as airport transfers and adventure activities. The tented camp is an ideal base from which to explore Vic Falls and participate in the numerous adventure activities available in this amazing part of the world.

The following adventure activities are included on this tour; a Zambezi River Sunset Cruise and either an Elephant Back Safari along the banks of the Zambezi River or a Lion Encounter, plus a Scenic Flight over Vic Falls. Zambezi Sunset Cruise

You will set out on a two and a half hour sunset cruise where the aim is to sit back and relax while enjoying sightings of elephant, giraffe, buffalo and even rhino coming down to the river to drink. You will also need to keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles, hippos and some amazing birdlife.

The Zambezi River cruise is done at a mellow pace with an expert guide on hand. There is an open bar and fresh snacks are served, adding to the enjoyment of this leisurely ride on the Zambezi. A truly relaxing cruise!

Helicopter Flight of Angels over Vic Falls

Experience the thundering Vic Falls and mighty Zambezi River from a bird’s eye view on a thrilling helicopter flight. The helicopter used for flights over Victoria Falls is designed to provide all passengers with a good view of the magnificent scenery below. There are also take short flights over Batoka Gorge downstream of Vic Falls and upstream over the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park, to spot wildlife roaming in the game park below (not included in the tour price) as well as Microlight flights in an aircraft featuring a wing-mounted camera and an open cockpit (not included). From above the falls it is easy to see why the helicopter flight is called the Flight of Angels!

Elephant Back Safari

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to interact closely with the gentle African elephant. You are encouraged to actively participate in the ride and connect with these amazingly gentle creatures. Upon arrival you will receive and introductory talk and be introduced to the Elephants. You will then mount the elephants and head off on a bush trail along the banks of the Zambezi River, the ride lasts for 1 hour. On completing the elephant bush ride; you will get to interact with the Elephants on the ground. The whole experience takes about 3 hours from pick up. Please note that the technique used in handling the elephants is based on a positive reinforcement method as opposed to a discipline and submission method. You can choose between morning, mid-morning and afternoon elephant safaris and for those who aren’t up for riding the elephants there are elephant encounters and interactions for watching these social creatures interact, play and feed.

African Lion Encounter

Walk with African lions in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park on this amazing lion encounter. You will be collected from your accommodation in Zambia and taken to the lion encounter (about 10min’s) and spend about 1¼ hours interacting with these powerful cats. This encounter is part of a rehabilitation project aimed at re-introducing lions bred and raised in captivity, back into the wild. The lions are not collared or on leashes, which makes for exciting yet safe encounter. You can embark on this lion adventure in the morning or afternoon and breakfast or snacks will be provided accordingly.

White Water Rafting

The White Water Rafting experience on the mighty Zambezi has been described as the best commercial white water rafting experience in the world. This full day excursion on the Zambezi River is a fantastic experience for those with a sense of adventure. The day is all about clean water, a healthy helping of African sunshine and a dose of exercise; all this against the backdrop of one of the beautiful waterfalls in the world, the spectacular Victoria Falls. The day begins early with a briefing on safety and breakfast. It’s then off on your adventure where you will tackle some serious Grade 5 rapids under the expert guidance of world-class guides. Stop for packed lunch on the banks of the Zambezi. At the end of the day you will be lifted out of the gorge where you will be met with cold drinks and beers. Then you get to watch a DVD of your day's rafting and get transferred back to the accommodation. A truly exhilarating experience!  

Upper Zambezi Canoe Safari

A great day spent canoeing on the upper section of the Zambezi River. Your day begins with breakfast followed by a 40-minute transfer to the start of the canoe trail. On arrival you will receive a safety briefing, you will then get to practice your paddling skills before setting off on your full day River adventure. An elephant encounter and canoeing half-day trip is also available. You will get to see some amazing creatures from elephants to spectacular birdlife along your journey. The pace on this canoe trip is relaxed with an emphasis on taking in the beautiful fauna and flora. Your day on the Zambezi includes packed lunch served on an island in the river. You journey ends around 16.00pm with a transfer back to the accommodation. A fantastic day on the water!

Game Drives and Vic Falls Tours

Explore Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park on 3-hour game drives with experienced guides. Mosi-Oa-Tunya in Zambia is home to various wild animals; including the endangered white rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra and buffalo, among others. You can also spot hippos and crocodiles along the Zambezi River, as well as an abundance of birds. You will be collected from and transferred back to your accommodation and refreshments as well as park fees are included in the game drive outing. 

Experience one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the mighty Victoria Falls on this exciting tour. When the waters of the Zambezi are high, the Zambian side of the falls is a spectacular sight. Discover the lush forests and walkways leading to vantage points and even feel the spray of the “Smoke that Thunders” as Vic Falls is called. The Victoria Falls tour includes transfers, park fees and refreshments. 

Riverboarding and Rafting Tour

The ultimate place for riverboarding - the Zambezi River has the scenery, necessary volume of water and few exposed rocks in its rapids and pools, making it ideal for this exhilarating activity. Riverboarding can be done as a half or full day activity and is combined with river rafting in an action-packed and thrilling adventure. Along the way stops are made to relax and play between rapids and clients always have the option of switching to the back-up raft. The riverboarding adventures are lead by trained and professional guides with first aid certificates to ensure your safety.

Park fees are not included in the price for the Elephant Back Safari (Expect to pay around US$ 10 on arrival at the park).

White Water rafting is generally not available in late April and early May as the water level on the Zambezi is too high.
