Day 1- Victoria Falls - Hwange National Park
We depart from the Zimbabwe side of Victoria Falls at 09.30am. Along the way to Hwange National Park we pass through local villages, Mopane forests and the Hwange Town famous for its coal mining activities. We will enter the park through the Main Camp where your guide will select one of the many camps in and around Main Camp for your campsite. (This will depend on the time of year and location of animals). Once camp is set up you will go on an afternoon game drive. Hwange is Zimbabwe's oldest and biggest National Park, home to 107 species of game including the "Big 5" and over 400 bird species. (L; D)
Day 2 - Hwange National Park
In the early morning we head out on a game drive. The landscape of Hwange National Park is diverse. From the Kalahari sand in the Southern area of the park to open grasslands to heavily wooded hilly areas in the Northern Part of the Park. We will spend the day game viewing throughout the park. We will stop off at the parks watering holes to see what's on offer. Some of these watering holes have areas where you can get out of the vehicle and stretch and view the game at leisure. We will spend our nights at an area called Sinamatella in the Northern Park of Hwange. (B; L; D)
Day 3 - Hwange National Park - Victoria Falls
Sinamatella camp sits on top of a cliff with panoramic views over an open vlei area which makes it an ideal camp for game viewing. The area has both white and black Rhino; we will spend our morning trying to locate these giants of the bush. The area also has good concentrations of other wildlife species. After the morning game drive we will make our way back to Victoria Falls with an expected time of arrival around mid afternoon. (B)
