Botswana Kalahari Migration 4x4 Camping Safari

A truly unique 4x4 camping Safari to view the Kalahari migration in Botswana. This Safari will take you well off the beaten track to view the migration of Zebra, Wildebeest and Elephant. You will stay in secluded bush camps that guarantee absolute privacy. Camping under the African Stars with the sounds of the wild in the background, a true bush experience.

On this Safari you will visit some of Botswana's lesser travelled areas. These includes the Nxai Pan National Park, the Makgadikgadi National Park and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. This Safari occurs only in the migration season from January to May and again from November to December. Not only will you see the antelope in migration but will encounter the predators that follow the migration including the Kalahari Back-maned Lion. Experience the African Bush in solitude and witness the marvel that is the Kalahari Migration.

Day 1: Maun - Nxai Pan National Park

We are met at the airport by our guide and road transferred to our first campsite in Nxai Panda packed lunch is provided en-route. After a sunset game drive and a delicious wholesome meal, the sounds of the African night are enjoyed. Mobile Safari.  (Packed Lunch & Dinner)              

Day 2: Nxai Pan National Park

After breakfast we take a leisure game drive and visit the Baines Baobab's.  We also stand the chance to see variety of Wildlife such as Bat-eared Fox, Springbok and Wild dog. Mobile Safari (All Meals).

Day 3& 4: Makgadikgadi National Park

Our safari crew expertly moves our camp to the Makgadikgadi National Park, where we continue to seek the migrating herds of Zebra, Wildebeest and Elephant. Mobile Safari (All meals)

Day 5 / 6 / 7: Central Kalahari Game Reserve

An early morning game drive takes us to the unique and special Central Kalahari Reserve. Here we could encounter the majestic Black-mane Kalahari Lions and a host of other predators that like us, are pursuing the migratory herds. Mobile Safari.  (All meals).

Day 8: Central Kalahari

Today we are transferred by our guide to the lodge. Time to relax and unwind enjoy sundowners and dinner, before taking a night drive to explore the magic of the areas nocturnal creatures. Haina Safari Lodge (or similar accommodation) (All Meals)

Day 9: Maun

An early rise will take us on our last memorable game drive, before breakfast. A scenic flight transfers us back to Maun airport. (Breakfast)
