DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG - KALAHARI DESERT

This Botswana and Victoria Falls Adventure Safari departs from our hotel in Johannesburg at 07h30, travelling north through South Africa.

We make our way into the Central Kalahari Desert over the border in Botswana, one of Africa's favourite safari destinations.

Overnight at Nkisi Guesthouse (or similar).

DAY 2: KALAHARI (BUSHMAN EXPERIENCE) – BOTSWANA

On day two of our Botswana Adventure we set up camp in the Kalahari Desert region of Botswana.

We camp at a Kalahari Bushmen village, supporting a project owned and operated by a local Bushmen community. The proceeds of our stay at the village go directly to this local community.

We embark on a one-hour guided bush walk, accompanied by a local guide. As we walk in the Kalahari area our knowledgeable guide points out the local fauna and flora, explaining their various uses in traditional Bushmen life.

DAY 3/ 4: OKAVANGO AREA OF MOREMI GAME RESERVE – BOTSWANA

We continue our journey through Botswana heading to Maun, gateway to the Okavango Delta.

Arriving in Maun at about midday we drive on into the beautiful Moremi Game Reserve.

We explore this diverse Botswana wilderness area on early morning and late afternoon game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles.

You will also get a chance to explore the winding channels of the Okavango Delta in traditional mokoros (dugout canoes).

DAY 5/ 6: KHWAI AREA OF MOREMI WILDLIFE RESERVE – BOTSWANA

Next we venture into the pristine Khwai area of Moremi Reserve, a truly unspoilt wilderness area.

The Khwai is a stunning part of Botswana, boasting lush vegetation dotted with palm trees.

This untamed wilderness is home to a huge population of wild animals and an abundance of birds.

We embark on rewarding early morning and late afternoon game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles in Khwai.

DAY 7: MOREMI & MAUN – BOTSWANA

On our way out of the Moremi region we take an early morning game drive, arriving back in the lively town of Maun at lunch time.

You can take an optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta (own expense) from Maun.

DAY 8/ 9: CHOBE RIVER & KASANE – BOTSWANA

Today we drive to Chobe River, where we set up camp on the banks of the river.

The Chobe game park area is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Chobe is renowned for it's captivating landscapes, abundance of wildlife and birds, and spectacular African sunsets.

The optional morning game drive in Chobe National Park on day 9, is worth experiencing (own expense).

We take a relaxing boat cruise on Chobe River, admiring a magnificent sunset and keeping an eye out for the variety of African wildlife and birds that visit the river.

DAY 10/ 11: LIVINGSTONE/ VICTORIA FALLS – ZAMBIA

Next we cross into Zambia, travelling to Victoria Falls - one of Africa's most unforgettable sights.

View Victoria Falls from Zambia (own expense) to witness the "Smoke that Thunders". Victoria Falls waterfall is the largest sheet of falling water in the world and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world!

At Vic Falls your days are free for exploring Livingstone and browsing the local markets.

Don't miss the chance to experience some of the numerous optional adventure activities on offer in Africa's adrenalin capital.

Activities include white water rafting, bungi jumping, microlighting, airplane or helicopter flights over Vic Falls, rhino walks, elephant back safaris and more.

DAY 12: NATA – BOTSWANA

We make our way back into game-rich Botswana on day 12 of this Botswana and Victoria Falls Adventure Safari.

Travelling south through Botswana we visit the vast Makgadikgadi Pans to watch an amazing sunset over the flat salt pans (weather dependant).

DAY 13: LIMPOPO AREA – SOUTH AFRICA

Today we continue of journey south, crossing back into South Africa, where we set up our overnight camp in the scenic Province of Limpopo.

DAY 14: JOHANNESBURG – SOUTH AFRICA

Our Botswana and Victoria Falls Adventure Safari takes us through Pretoria, known as the ‘Jacaranda City’ for its lovely purple-flowered trees.

From the administrative capital of South Africa we drive on to our last stop, Johannesburg.

Our scenic and widllife adventure comes to an end in Johannesburg at about 16h00 today.
