Itinerary:
Day 1 South Africa – Cederberg Mountain
Region
We depart Cape Town heading north for the spectacular Cederberg
mountain region. On this first afternoon we spend some time
learning about tour-life, the vehicle and equipment. Two per

Day 2 Namibia - Namaqualand Gariep River
We travel north through Namaqualand and head for the Gariep
River. The evening is spent sitting around the campfire getting
to know one another. Two per room B,L,D
Day 3 Gariep/Orange River - Fish River Canyon
In the morning we have the opportunity to experience the Gariep/Orange River by canoe, or spend some time relaxing. After lunch we travel north to visit the Ai-Ais Hot Springs and overnight close to the mighty Fish River Canyon. Optional Activities: Half-Day Canoe Adventure.Two per Room B,L,D
Day 4 Fish River Canyon - Kokerboom Forest
After an early breakfast our journey takes us to the mighty
Fish River Canyon. After visiting the canyon we travel further
inland to the Kalahari area of Namibia. On the way we will
visit the Kokerboom Forest. Two per room B,L,D
Day 5 Bushman Community - Namib Naukluft Park
This morning those who wish to spend some time with the !Kung
tribe will have the chance to do so. This activity is a local
community project and all fees are payable directly to the
community. Later we drive west towards the massive dunes of
Sossusvlei. Two per permanent tent B,L,D

Day 6 Namib Naukluft National Park
Taking advantage of the cooler temperatures we depart at dawn
and drive into the Namib-Naukluft National Park where we will
hike up Dune 45 to gain a different perspective of the desert.
After this you have the option a guided hike with fellow group
members into Sossusvlei. Two per permanent tent B,L,D

Day 7/8 Swakopmund
A dramatic drive through the arid Namib-Naukluft, crossing
the Tropic of Capricorn sees us arrive at Walvis Bay. We stop
to view the flamingo’s before we head towards the seaside
resort town of Swakopmund. Here we will be briefed on the
many optional activities available for the following day.
Day 8 is left free for each individual to pursue their own
interests including many adventure activities. Two per room

Optional Activities: Quadbiking, Sandboarding, Sky Diving,
Scenic Flights, Fishing etc.
Day 9 Himba Tribe
Heading inland again we drive north towards Kamanjab where
we will meet with some of the local people of the area. The
Himba are easily recognizable by their unique style of dress.
Encountering a totally different way of life is a moving experience
for many people. Two per room B,L,D
Day 10/11 Etosha National Park
An early rise sees us on our way to Etosha National Park and
some of most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. We
spend our days visiting the abundant water holes for some
excellent game photography. After our evening meal we relax
at some of the finest floodlit waterholes in the world. Occasionally
it is not possible to stay inside the park at night, in which
case we overnight at a local guest farm. Two per room B,L,D
Day 12 Windhoek
After an early morning game drive we set off for Windhoek,
the capital of Namibia. On the way we will stop at a local
craft market for some shopping.
Optional Activities: Dinner at Joe’s Beer House, Township

Day 13 Bushmen Tribe
Leaving Windhoek behind us we head towards the Botswana border.
Here we have the opportunity to interact with the local Bushmen
community as well as other activities. Two per room B,L

Day 14/15/16 Botswana - Okavango Delta
Maun is well known as the gateway to the Okavango Delta. We spend one night in this remote town and prepare for this excursion. Small planes transport us over this amazing area to Gunn’s Camp for the next 2 nights. Animals are often spotted from the lodge, but we also take a nature walk and, if the water level allows, a mokoro (traditional canoe) trip.Two per Room B,L,D
Day 17 Botswana – Gweta
A second scenic air-transfer will return us to Maun and the truck. This afternoon we drive to Gweta, halfway between Kasane and Nata.Two per Room B,L,D
Day 18 Botswana – Kasane - Chobe National Park
TWe drive north to Kasane, where we stay on the bank of the Chobe River. We take an afternoon river cruise in order to visit Chobe NP’s animals as they come down to the river to drink.Two per Room B,L,D
Day 19 Zimbabwe - Victoria Falls
Arriving early at our final destination, we head off to visit
the spectacular Victoria Falls and experience the thundering
sound of the mighty Zambezi. The popular optional sunset cruise
includes dinner and drinks. Two per room B,L,D

Day 20 Victoria Falls
Most people will spend the day white water rafting, a not-to-be-missed
experience of a lifetime! Vic Falls offers many exciting alternatives.

Day 21/22 Victoria Falls to Johannesburg
Departure is at 6 am from Savanna Lodge. It is a long and
uneventful drive through Botswana to the border at Martinsdrift
where we will spend the night. The following day another 6
am departure will ensure that we cover the next 750 km and
get to Johannesburg as early as possible. Two per Room No

Day 23 South Africa – Panorama Route
Leaving behind Johannesburg, the city of gold, we head through
the province of Mpumalanga and some breathtaking vistas of
the Lowveld. Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and Bourke’s
Luck Potholes will be some of today’s highlights. We
will spend the evening just outside of Kruger National Park.

Day 24/25 Kruger National Park
We get up early and visit a wildlife rehabilitation centre
for an educational experience before we enter Kruger National
Park. The next two days are spent exploring the southern part
of this vast reserve and we stand a good chance of sighting
Africa's famed big five. An optional night drive with one
of the South African National Park (SANP) rangers is an excellent
way to see some of the nocturnal animals. Two per room B,L,D

Day 26/27 Swaziland - Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
Today we leave the Kruger Park and cross the border into Swaziland.
We spend the next two nights in the Mlilwane Nature Reserve
where we are able to explore the area on foot. We will also
experience the wonderful Swazi culture first hand by visiting
a traditional village. Two per Beehive Hut B,L,D

and Game Viewing.
Day 28/29 South Africa – The Greater St Lucia Wetland
Park – Durban
Leaving Swaziland, we travel through the subtropical region
towards the Indian Ocean. We spend the afternoon exploring
the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park and enjoying the unique
sights. The following day we journey down the coast to Durban.
We will spend the night in this vibrant city. It is a great
option to go out this evening to try one of Durban’s
famous Indian restaurants. Two per room B,L,D (D day 6 only)
Optional Activities: Lagoon Cruise on St Lucia. Dinner and
night out in Durban.
Day 30/31 Drakensberg
We leave Durban and the Kwa Zulu Natal coast and travel to
the Royal Natal National Park and the mighty Drakensberg escarpment.
The next day is spent at leisure. You can choose any of the
local activities such as horse riding or take a short hike
in the spectacular surroundings. Two per room B,L,D

Day 32/33 Lesotho
After a long but scenic drive we arrive in the Mountain Kingdom
of Lesotho. When border formalities are completed we ascend
into the mountains to our rustic overnight spot. The next
day we get up early and those going on the Pony Trek will
ride into the remote hills of Lesotho accompanied by local
guides. If you choose to remain behind you can simply relax
or visit the local village, school or craft market. Two per

and School visit.
Day 34/35 South Africa – Hogsback
We leave Lesotho and drive south to the picturesque Hogsback valley. In addition to a gentle hike into the surrounding forest your guides will also provide information on the other available activities in this area. Optional Activities: Horse riding, mountain biking.Two per Room B,L,D
Day 36 Addo Elephant National Park
We spend our time in Addo Elephant National Park surrounded
by elephants! These magnificent creatures are always a highlight
and Addo provides us with many fantastic photographic opportunities.

Day 37/38 Tsitsikamma National Park
After an early morning game drive we bid farewell to the elephants
and drive further along the sunshine coast until we reach
Tsitsikamma National Park. This beautiful coastal park provides
us with some amazing hikes, including the first section of
the well-known Otter Trail. Two per B,L,D
Optional Activities: Bungee Jumping (highest in the world),
Tubing, Treetop Tour.
Day 39/40 Knysna – Oudtshoorn
It is a short distance to Knysna and there are many activities
on offer here as well as the chance to explore this interesting
town. Go fishing on the lagoon, shopping in the town or abseil
off the Knysna Heads – the choice is yours. The next
day we travel on via the Outeniqua Mountains as we head for
Oudtshoorn, where we take a tour of the Cango Caves. Later
in the day you have the option of visiting an Ostrich Farm.

Day 41 Stellenbosch Wine Route
After breakfast we set off for Stellenbosch. As this is the
last night on tour we will go out to a local restaurant for
dinner. In whale season (between June and November), we spend
the day in Hermanus where there is a possibility of encountering
world famous whales. Two per room B,L,D
Optional Activity: Meal Out.
Day 42 Cape Town
After a leisurely breakfast, we set off to do some wine tasting
before reaching Cape Town. The journey ends on arrival at
the Nomad Adventure Centre at Greenmarket Square in central
