PRIVATE RESERVE
As an alternative to staying in the National Parks rest camps
or as an add , African Budget Safaris in offer
exclusive camping safaris in the privately owned concessions
of the Balule Private Game Reserve. The Balule Game Reserve
forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park and it is important
to note that there are no fences separating the two reserves
The Balule Game Reserve has only recently been developed and
has already become one of the rising stars amongst the Big
Five private reserves adjacent to the Kruger Park.
Balule presently forms the western boundary of the largest
game reserve in the world : the Transfrontier Limpopo Game
Reserve which includes game reserves in Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
The Balule Reserve is about 45 000 ha in extent and straddles
both sides of the mighty Olifants River. The name " Balule
" is the local Shangaan word for " Buffalo"
and the resident herds are often seen.
The Bush Camp consists of spacious 2 man dome
tents which are equipped with spotless camping mattresses,
sleeping bags and pillows. The Bush Camp boasts a viewing
deck which overlooks a floodlit water hole, a small swimming
pool and a bush boma where you dine under the African night
sky. The camp is fenced for your protection and guides and
camp staff are never too far away to assist you in any way.
Activities at the Bush Camp include invigorating bush walks
and morning and night drives in specially designed safari
vehicles.

Children under 6 are allowed on our open safari vehicles providing
that the clear see through sides are lowered and have to be
accompanied by their parents.
Itinerary:
Days 1 & 2: Johannesburg – The Bush Camp
Your Kruger Park camping safari will start when you are
picked up this morning at approximately 09h30 from Johannesburg
International Airport and transferred to The Bush Camo Camp.
Your arrival at the Tented Safari Camp is scheduled for the
late afternoon.
The camp has 2 man dome tents which are equipped with camping
mattresses, freshly laundered sleeping bags and pillows. (Lunch
will not be served on your transfer, but light snacks are
available upon arrival)
The Tented Safari Camp boasts a viewing deck which overlooks
a floodlit water hole, a small swimming pool and a bush boma
where you dine under the African night sky. You have a choice
of participating in bush walks, game drives and night drives
on this safari.
Early the next morning after your wake up call coffee and
tea with rusks (biscuits) will be served before embarking
on your morning walk / drive. Breakfast is a refreshing welcome
after your game activity.
The rest of the morning of your Kruger Park safari can be
spent relaxing or bush walking. You may arrange the duration
of your walk with your guide. A light lunch is served
mid-afternoon with a game walk/drive following. These game
walks / drives allow for an up close introduction to the wildlife
and nature.
Learn interesting facts about the ecology of the region,
how to recognize animal tracks, birds and trees on your Kruger
Park safari. After the afternoon's activities, dinner is served.
Dinner on first day Included. Brunch, Light Lunch and Dinner
are Included on second day.
Day 3: The Bush Camp – Johannesburg
On the final day of your camping safari you rise early,
and after coffee and rusks enjoy a 3 hour safari activity
of choice. This is your final chance to spot the animals you
may have missed on previous game viewing activities. Brunch
is served back at the The Bush Camp. After bidding farewell
to your camping safari guides, you will be picked up by the
luxury transfer vehicle for the drive back Johannesburg arriving
at 18:00pm. Brunch Included.
