4 DAY TANZANIAN GAME PARKS 4X4 SAFARI
A 4 day game feast aimed at those clients who want to experience the best game viewing available in Tanzania. This Safari includes the following parks:Lake Manyara National Park, Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Park. The tour is operated using top of the range Landcruisers specially designed for game viewing.The tours are conduced by professional, knowledgeable, English speaking driver guides who have years of experience in the parks. ITINERARY:
Day 01 ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National Park.
Picnic lunch boxes will be provided.
Dinner and overnight at Jambo Campsite. (In Mto wa Mbu village).
Drive across the plains and into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive in this interesting area sandwiched between the Rift Valley wall and the shores of Lake Manyara. The park lies in the Rift Valley itself, the primeval gash that scars Africa from Ethiopia to Mozambique and is named after the Manyara Plant, a bush used by the Masai in the area to fence off the corrals in which they keep their cattle. The Park covers an area of 330 sq. kms. Have a picnic lunch in the park by one of the numerous ground-water streams, then search the park for the tree climbing lions, resident groups of hippo, and many species of water bird.
Day 02 LAKE MANYARA – TARANGIRE
After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park.
Picnic lunch boxes will be provided
Full day game drive in the park.
Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Camp site.
Heading from lake Manyara National Park we drive west across the Masai Plains to Tarangire National Park. This park is renowned for the large herds of elephant and buffalo, resident predators, plentiful plains game and over 350 species of birds. Enjoy your first picnic lunch under the shade of a sausage tree. Set up camp and relax through the afternoon heat before taking another game drive in the early evening. Return to your camp for showers, dinner and a good nights' sleep accompanied by the night sounds of the African bush.
Day 03 TARANGIRE – NGORONGORO
After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area along with your picnic lunch boxes.
Descend into the crater for a crater.
Dinner and overnight at Simba camp site.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a crater tour. This 100 square mile natural amphitheatre is a photographers' paradise, and is host to an astonishing array of wildlife. You may be lucky enough to see the rare black rhino, elephant and lion, leopard and hyena, as well as large herds of zebra and wildebeest, antelope, gazelle, hippo, and flocks of greater and lesser flamingo all with the natural back-drop of the crater wall. Have your picnic lunch under the shade of an acacia tree while you watch a family of hippo play. In the late afternoon climb back up the crater wall to your camp and enjoy the fading evening light as it plays across the crater floor below you. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your camp.
Day 04 NGORONGORO – ARUSHA
After breakfast drive back to Arusha.
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION:
You will travel in a 4 x 4 Toyota Land Cruisers that are especially equipped for safaris. Roof hatches ensure excellent viewing capability and vehicle radios guarantee regular contact with base.
These vehicles are designed with your comfort in mind. Each vehicle seats up to six comfortably (including your cook and guide) and we provide you with a cool box with fresh water, guide books, binoculars, and a first aid kit. Our drivers are all trained within the company and have a high standard of safety, and of course, wildlife and game spotting!
All you have to do is sit back and enjoy!
