12 DAYS BEST OF TANZANIA & ZANZIBAR SAFARI This 12 day accommodated safari is fantastic combination of the best Game Viewing on offer in Tanzania and the spectacular Zanzibar Island with its rich cultural heritage and beautiful white beackes. Tanzania is Africa’s prime game viewing country. Its national parks and game reserves cover almost 25% of the country and protect an estimated 20% of Africa’s large mammals. Ngorongoro Crater is said to have the world’s densest population of lion. In Lake Manyara, lions have developed a liking for residing in the branches of trees, where they can both sleep and watch for prey. The Serengeti national park is notable for its large migratory herds of wildebeest and zebras with strings of predators in trail.

Detailed Itinerary
Day One - Day 01: City of Arusha.
We will collect you from the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred you to your Hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay. Accommodation will be at the SG Resort - Bed and Breakfast - 3+ Star.
Day 02: Arusha to Lake Manyara.
After breakfast we will travel by road from Arusha to Lake Manyara. We will enjoy a light picnic lunch along the way. On arrival we will go on a Game drive before arriving late afternoon at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge – 5 Star. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch Box, Dinner.
Day 03: Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast we will travel by road from the Lake Manyara Serena Hotel to the Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge. We will enjoy an En-route game drive. Our overnight stay will be at the Serengeti Serena Lodge – 5 Star. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch Box, Dinner.
Day 04: Serengeti National Park.
We will do a full day game drive today in the Serengeti National Park with a choice of a hot lunch at the lodge or picnic lunch. Overnight stay at Serengeti Serena Lodge – 5 Star. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch or Picnic Lunch Box, Dinner
Day 05: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater.
From Morning to midday we will enjoy a game drive in the Serengeti National Park. We will have a picnic lunch at Nabi Hill gate, then travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, via Malanja Depression, passing through various Masai Villages towards your lodge for dinner. Our overnight stay will be at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge – 5 Star. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch Box, Dinner.
Day 06: Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast we will travel to the Ngorongoro Crater for a 6 hour game drive followed by visiting to a Masai Village before proceeding to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation will be at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge – 5 Star. Meal Plan:
Breakfast, Picnic Lunch Box, Dinner.
Day 07: Lake Manyara to Arusha.
After breakfast we will travel by road from the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge to Arusha via the Great Rift Valley and the African village of Mto wa Mbu. We will arrive in Arusha around midday. Accommodation will be at the Moivaro Coffee Lodge – 4 Star. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch Box, Dinner.
Day 08: Arusha to Zanzibar Island.
08:30 after breakfast your safari guide will meet you at your hotel to pick you up for your private transfer by road to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival at Zanzibar Int. Airport you will be met by our representative who will escort you to the transfer vehicle. You will travel by road to your beach resort on the east cost. You will have a choice of 2 beach resorts- both been 5 star. Karafuu Beach Resort or Ocean Paradise. Accommodation will be based on half board. Meal Plan: Breakfast,
Dinner.
Day 09: Zanzibar Island Beach Leisure.
Enjoy a lazy day at your beach resort or partake in a Boat ride or Scuba dive. Accommodation based on half board. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Dinner.
Day 10 - 11: Zanzibar Island Beach Leisure.
Enjoy another lazy day at the resort or partake in an a Tour of Stone Town or a Spice and
Cultural Tour. Accommodation based on half board. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Dinner.
Day 12: Zanzibar Island Beach to Zanzibar Airport.
After breakfast our representative will pick you up from your beach resort and transfer you back to Zanzibar Int. Airport or to the Harbor. This is where your Safari ends. Meal Plan: Breakfast.

Our main goal is to hold block bookings with the Serena Lodge group for accommodation while on safari, however sometimes if the accommodation is not available we reserve the right to re-route the program. Please note however that this will be at no loss to any game drive time. Alternative accommodation might be made use of if the original accommodation is fully booked. In Lake Manyara we have two choices: The first been the Serena Lodge and the second been Kirurumu Tented Camp. In the Ngorongoro Crater we have two choices: The first been the Serena Lodge and the second been the Ngorongoro Farm House. In the Serengeti we have two choices: The first been the Serina Lodge and the second Malageti Camp..
All the reservations in Tanzania are based on a first come first serve basis and although we will do our best to secure the number one choice, on the odd occasion we might be have to use our second choice of accommodation. (The alterative accommodation that we make use of is of the same standard as the first choice.)
