Itinerary:
DAY 1
Depart from Cape Town and drive along N2 through Swellendam and on to Mossel Bay where in your own time can visit The Diaz Museum, The Post Office Tree and other attractions of Mossel Bay. Late Afternoon drive back towards Albertinia on the way to a Sunset BIG 5 Game Drive at the Garden Route Game Lodge. Dinner and hot spring under the stars before overnighting at Park House Backpackers in Mossel Bay. (D)

DAY 2
Depart from Mossel Bay and drive over the spectacular Robinson Pass on the way to Oudtshoorn. Spend the day at the Cango Caves; ride ostriches at the Cango Ostrich Farm and view Cheetah’s and many other cats at the Wildlife Ranch. Overnight in Wilderness at the Fairy Knowe backpackers situated in a forest of old Milkwood trees. (B,D)

DAY 3
On departure you’ll have the choice of doing either canoeing on the Wilderness lagoon or catch the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train from George to Knynsa Try to spot the 200 different species of birds on the lagoon or enjoy the scenic splendour on route from the window of the cho-tjoe train. Visit the World’s highest Bungy at Bloukrantz (plenty of time to jump for those thrill seekers) as well as walk hanging bridge over Storms River Mouth in the Tsitsikamma National Park. Overnight at Didge backpackers in Stormsriver Village. (B)

DAY 4
Today you have the option of an ocean adventure by spotting dolphins and Whales (in season) from a boat in Plettenberg Bay. After the boat cruise we head to Knysna for lunch and to explore the Knysna heads. On route to Swellendam we visit an aloe factory in Albertinia before arriving at the Buffeljagts Dam where we will on a private guest farm. There is also the option of going on the longest foefie-slide in Africa! (B, D)

DAY 5
Depart Swellendam and follow the coastal route towards Hermanus. There is time for an optional extra of Shark Cage Diving if any one so wishes. We explore Hermanus including whale watching (in season) and visit a winery for some wine tasting. From Hemanus to Betty’s Bay where we visit the penguins at Stony Point. Return to Cape Town late afternoon via the stunning False Bay coastline where hopefully we’ll see more whales or dolphins. (B)
