ACCOMMODATION Days 1-8 Camping in two person dome tents, mattresses provided. Days 9-11 accommodation in Budget chalets

VEHICLE Minibus (no aircon) - Maximum 9 passengers per group
Custom built safari vehicle - Maximum 16 passenger per group

WHAT IS PROVIDED All ground transportation, services of experienced qualified driver / guide, camping equipment (2 man dome tents, mats, cooking equipment), all highlights, meals, entrance fees & accommodation per itinerary.

NOT INCLUDED Travel insurance, flights, departure taxes, sleeping bags, items of a personal nature, drinks and optional activities.

PARTICIPATION Participation safari - clients to erect their tents and help with cooking, washing dishes and vehicle cleanliness.


Itinerary:
Day 1 Durban to Southern Drakensberg South Africa
We depart the cosmopolitan city of Durban and make our way to the Southern Drakensberg. We set up camp and spend the rest of the day hiking and exploring the majestic Drakensberg Mountains. (D)

Day 2 Southern Drakensburg South Africa
After breakfast we head off on a day trip up the spectacular Sani Pass, enjoying lunch at the Highest Pub in Africa. The Sani Pass is the only road linking Kwazulu-Natal and the mountain kingdom of Lesotho. We return to our camp after experiencing a thrilling drive up one of South Africa's highest mountain passes. Day 3 & 4 Wild Coast South Africa
We depart the Drakensberg and make our way to the Wild Coast, visiting the Nelson Mandela Museum en route. We spend our time relaxing on the beach, exploring the unspoiled stretches of coastline and experiencing the age-old traditions and customs of the local Xhosa people. Abseiling, canoeing and hiking is available for the adventure seekers (optional expense). (BD)

Day 5 Addo Elephant Park South Africa
After an early morning rise, we depart for the Addo Elephant National Park. After setting up camp, we depart on an afternoon game drive through the valley of the elephants, searching for the largest of the Big 5. We overnight in the National Park. (BD)

Day 6, 7 & 8 Garden Route South Africa
The next three days we spend discovering the most spectacular stretch of the Garden Route. We visit the Tsitsikamma National Park, the picturesque town of Knysna, the white beaches at Plettenberg Bay and the many indigenous forests in the area. We are kept busy with many adrenalin activities on offer in the area: kayaking; skydiving; bungee jumping; scenic flights; tree top tour; abseiling/rap jumping; cycling; and black-water tubing (optional expense). Day 9 Oudtshoorn South Africa
Departing the coastal regions of the Garden Route, we head into the arid regions of the Karoo. We make our way to the ostrich capital of the world, Oudtshoorn. We spend time at one of the many ostrich farms, allowing us the opportunity to ride an ostrich. Visiting the Cango Caves, we venture underground into the many small caverns. We overnight in Oudtshoorn. (BD)

Day 10 Hermanus South Africa
Up early, we depart Oudtshoorn and head back to the coast. We spend our time discovering the whale-watching town of Hermanus and experiencing the giants of the deep from the coastline or close up from a kayak (optional & seasonal). (BD)

Day 11 Cape Town South Africa
We are given the opportunity to experience shark cage diving at Gansbaai (optional extra), or simply relaxing on the beach before we depart for the Mother City of Cape Town. We spend the evening out on the town, enjoying a meal at one of the many restaurants (own expense). (B)

Day 12 Cape Town South Africa
This morning is spent discovering Cape Town with a visit to Cape Point. We then enjoy a farewell lunch at one of the local wine farms before heading back to Cape Town (own expense). (B)

FOOD & MEALS
Included in the tour cost are the following meals:

Meals included are camp meals prepared by your guide with your assistance. On days where lunches are not included we stop at places where you can buy food at a reasonable cost.

VEHICLES & GROUP SIZE
We utilize either a minibus that seats a maximum of 9 passengers or a custom built safari vehicle which seats a maximum of 16 passengers.
The vehicles do not have air conditioning, but do have opening windows.

EQUIPMENT
We provide you with the following equipment:
• 2 - person dome tent.
• The tents have mosquito netting over the entrances and windows.
• Sleeping mat.
• All cooking equipment for the group and utensils.
• Camping stools.
• Sleeping Bags may be hired for R50 per tour (Please notify us in advance if you will require one).

WHAT TO BRING
For comfort reasons luggage is limited on each trip to 1 backpack, 1 small daypack, sleeping bag and camera per person. Soft Bags only may be used (i.e.: no suitcases)

ONWARD TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
Due to unforeseen problems we recommend onward travel arrangements be made only for the day after the tour ends. If arrangements are made for the same day the tour ends, we cannot be held responsible for any delays; you will have to take the risk yourself. If you are making further bookings for busses, trains or flights the day the tour ends we strongly recommend you make them the latest time possible and that you inform African Budget Safaris or the tour guide at the beginning of the tour
