Itinerary:
Day 1
We have lunch at our campsite based in Wildlife Camp on the
banks of the Luangwa River. After waiting for all members
of the trip to arrive, we set off in the afternoon and head
into the park for our first taste of what this amazing park
has to offer.
We'll do an afternoon drive near one of the beautiful lagoons
and follow this with our first night drive. After which we'll
be back to camp for dinner.
Day
2
Yesterday due to time we only touched on the Eastern edge
of the park, today we venture deep in the park, with all day
activities including a game walk, morning drive, afternoon
drive and night drive. On this drive, we'll take all of our
meals except dinner inside the park.
Whilst this is a long tiring day it is certainly enjoyable
and the rewards will be tremendous as few people venture this
far into the park. Afterwards we'll be back at our camp for
another delicious meal and a good nights sleep.
Day 3
After a late breakfast we depart to 'Kawaza Cultural Village'
for a taste of traditional Zambian Village Life, including
a tour of the village, lunch and dancing. After Lunch we return
to the park for an afternoon and night game drive before returning
back to our campsite.
Day 4
This is our walking day, not hard strenuous hiking but pleasurable
game walks. After breakfast we'll head out on a game walk
on the Wildlife peninsula learning about spore, droppings,
flora and fauna as well as keeping our eyes open for the numerous
game that visit the area. After lunch back at the camp we'll
take another game walk, this time ending up at our bush camp
where we'll spend the night, you'll be serenaded to sleep
by the roar of the Lion and the call of the Hyena.
Day 5
After breakfast in the bush camp we take a game walk back
to our fixed campsite in time for lunch, at the end of the
trip.
