Kruger park and Mpumalanga Budget Safari

Departing from Johannesburg this 4 day tour takes you on a camping adventure to South Africa's Kruger National Park.

Not only can you experience the vastness of the countryside inside the Kruger, but daily game walks are available to add to your experience in the Park.

The tour then takes on a cultural experience to a Shangaan village where you can come into contact with the local people of the area and witness their everyday lives.

On your return to Johannesburg, you will view some of Southern Africa's greatest heritage sites, including the third largest canyon in the world, The Blyde River Canyon as well as God's Window,The Three Rondavels and The Bourke's Luck Potholes.

Day 1 Kruger National Park

Leaving behind Johannesburg, the city of gold, we head through the province of Mpumalanga to the world famous Kruger National Park. The next two days are spent exploring the southern part of this vast reserve and we stand a good chance of sighting Africa's famed "Big Five" as well as a variety of other wild animals and birds, on the game drives in the safari truck.

Optional Activities: Night game drives and morning walk with park ranger.

Day 2 Kruger National Park

Our game drives continue and an early start usually rewards us with some great sightings. Keep your eyes open for the diverse birdlife and some of the more elusive animals. Our truck gives us a more elevated view of the park, and the ability to spot big cats and other smaller game that can be hiding in the vegetation. An optional night drive with one of the South African National Park rangers is an excellent way to see some of the nocturnal animals.

Day 3 Traditional Cultural Village

After a morning game drive in the truck or an optional game walk, we leave the Kruger National Park and head for Timbavati, in the Greater Kruger area. In the afternoon we visit a Shangaan village, and then make our way to a wildlife concession area adjacent to the Kruger National Park, where there is the option of a night game drive.

Optional activities: Morning walk with Local Guide, Afternoon game drive.

Day 4 Panorama Route - Tour Ends

This morning we have the option to experience a walk in the concession area in order to get up close to the wonderful African animals. There is no comparison between viewing something from the security of the truck and then tracking wild game with your local guide. On the journey back to Johannesburg we travel along the spectacular Panorama Route. Today we will be travelling the Panorama Route through some spectacular scenery. Blyde River Canyon, the 3rd largest canyon in the world, offers breathtaking view points, including God's Window and The Three Rondavels. The Bourke's Luck Potholes are the fascinating results of erosion caused by the River. The Kruger Budget Safari ends on arrival in Johannesburg.
