Having grown up in Kwazulu Natal and being fortunate enough to spend so much time at Umfolozi and Hluhluwe, early on in my childhood I developed a love for nature and wildlife. I would find any excuse to be in the bush birding and game driving, camping, running, hiking, diving, climbing and exploring our beautiful country. Friends and family would always find me behind the lens capturing all of this with my trusty camera!
This inspired my love for travelling and naturally meant I studied Travel and Tourism, which was the beginning of my life in this fantastic industry.
I have guided through the Western Cape, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. The vast open spaces of Namibia and the Kalahari light my soul on fire and a highlight for any trip to Namibia is seeing the red dunes of Sossusvlei. A must-see for any bucket list!
I always remember my father dreaming of going to the Okavango Delta and of us watching many National Geographic programs show casing this amazing environment and it certainly lived up to all expectations when I guided through this region.
Falling in love with Botswana led me to moving my whole life there for 10 years. I had the privilege of working on small islands in the heart of the Okavango Delta experiencing the beauty of this World Heritage site first hand for nearly two years. After that I was based in Maun for 8 years running a successful safari operator that show-cased the best of Botswana with a variety of camping tours and lodges in unique locations from the Central Kalahari, Magkagadi Pans, Moremi, Savute, Chobe right to the majestic Vic Falls. What a special time in my life with many wonderful memories captured in both my heart and on my camera.
Table Mountain and the seas of Cape Town always tugged at my heart and I always knew this would be my home. So I have recently moved back to this amazing city and now I am lucky enough to sit and get to see the sea and mountains from my desk each day. The famous Chapman’s Peak drive beckons daily!
Can’t get much better than this!
