Our Rwanda-only safaris depart from and end in Kigali, Rwanda's capital city. These safari tours include a city tour of Kigali, which takes you to a local arts and crafts market and the landmark Kigali Genocide Memorial. The Uganda and Rwanda Tours start in Kampala, Uganda, and end in Kigali.
The Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tours that we offer are all Budget Lodge Safaris traveling in small groups. Accommodation is in comfortable guesthouses or bed and breakfast establishments, offering excellent value for money. All meals on safari are included. Airport transfers are included on almost all of the tours and all tours include the services of an English-speaking driver/guide. These budget Rwanda Safari Tours, whilst not luxurious, do offer a good level of comfort at well-established and reputable accommodation establishments.
It is important to note that the Rwanda safari prices do not include gorilla trekking permits. Gorilla Permit fees are about US$ 600 in Uganda and US$ 1500 in Rwanda. The tours do include transport to the national parks and allow enough time for gorilla trekking. Various tours include different activities depending on which destinations they visit. The longer Rwanda & Uganda Safaris for instance also take you game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park, whilst Rwanda Safari options include chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest and game viewing boat cruises in Akagera National Park.
