Livingstone is easily accessible with daily connecting flights from Johannesburg in South Africa, with both British Airways and South Africa Airways. You can also fly to Livingstone from Nairobi in Kenya, with about three flights connecting the two destinations every week. There are also three flights a day from the Zambian capital, Lusaka. At Livingstone Airport you can get a taxi or arrange with your lodge for a transfer to town, which lies about 6 km away.
For cheaper options there are several bus coaches running between Livingstone and Lusaka, as well as the Zambezi Express train. Travelling from and to Botswana, you can take a shared taxi between Livingstone and the Kazungula Ferry crossing, near Kasane.
The closest airport to Vic Falls, the Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport is located only 15 minutes drive from the Victoria Falls waterfall. Originally called the Livingstone Airport the airport was renamed after leader of the African National Congress in Zambia - Harry Mwanga Nkumbula.
British Airways and South African Airways operate scheduled flights between OR Tambo in Johannesburg and Livingstone Airport, which take under 2 hours. You can also fly to to Livingstone Airport from the Kruger Mpumulanga International Airport, close to Kruger National Park. Livingstone Airport also handles flights from and to Lusaka in Zambia (just over an hour) and Nairobi in Kenya (over 3 hours). Most international travellers visiting Vic Falls usually fly into Livingstone aiport and either stay on the Zambian side or take a short transfer by road to Victoria Falls town in Zimbabwe.

Take a dip in Devil's Pool on the lip of the thunderous Vic Falls to get your heart racing. Follow in David Livingstone's footsteps, heading to the island in the middle of the Zambezi, just above the Victoria Falls. Take a guided walk, swim or boat ride to the island to explore and have tea or a meal.
Stand at one of the many view points located along the falls to take in the full glory of this natural wonder. The precipitous footbridge to Knife Edge offers close-up views of the Eastern Cataract and there is a steep footpath to a big pool called the Boiling Pot.
The Zambezi River at Vic Falls offers some of the best white water rafting in the world. Get your blood pumping with this exhilarating adventure starting in the gorge beneath the falls, at the Boiling Pot, and ending on a lovely sandy beach - this is an experience not to be missed.
Adrenaline junkies step right up! Take your pick or do all three, Bungi Jump from the bridge spanning the Zambezi with spectacular views of the Falls. Travel at over 100km an hour, 120m above the gorge on a Zip Wire or step off a cliff for a 175ft / 3.5 second vertical free-fall swing into the gorge.
Kick back and relax above the falls with a sun-downer and a braai (BBQ) where the Zambezi moves slow and easy, the perfect end to an action packed and awe inspiring day.
Take a helicopter ride over the falls or strap yourself into a micro light for incredible views of this natural wonder and the wide open spaces that surround Livingstone.
