Etosha National Park Camping Safari

This camping safari takes you to the beautiful Etosha National Park for three days - just enough time to take advantage of this amazing game park.

We visit the waterholes and explore the park in search of the wildlife of the Park. Etosha is home to various wildlife including elephant, rhino, leopard and lion as well as an array of birds!

On our way back to Windhoek we pass through the small town of Okahandja, the home of Namibia's largest wood carving market where you have an opportunity to buy some local souvenirs!

Day 1 - Windhoek to Etosha National Park (camping)

You will be collected between 08:00 & 08:30 in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, on day 1 of this Etosha National Park Camping Safari.

A long drive this morning, we will travel north passing through farmland and stopping at small towns along the way, we aim to arrive at the main camp in Etosha, Okaukuejo, in the middle afternoon.

After entering Etosha National Park we game drive our way through to the Okaukuejo Camp where we will check in and set up camp.

After your evening meal there are still more chances to see Etosha's big game at Okaukuejo's floodlit waterhole, situated on the boundary of our camp and easily reachable on foot

Okaukuejo is famous for its waterhole, which has been described as one of the "best game viewing opportunities in Southern Africa". Situated on the doorstep of our camp, black rhino, elephant, lion and numerous species of antelope are usually seen.

Day 2 - Okaukuejo -Game Drive to East Etosha, Namutoni (camping)

We spend a full day game-viewing on safari in Etosha Park today. We leave early to enjoy the cool morning air as we game drive our way through Etosha to Halali camp, situated in the middle of the park.

Along the way we visit several waterholes and are afforded splendid views of the massive Etosha Pan. The game viewing is usually excellent and we have the chance to tick off a few new species that are not normally seen on the Okaukuejo side of the park.

We stop at Halali Camp for a rest and a leisurely lunch and there is time to visit the Halali waterhole and to make use of the swimming pool and bar facilities before continuing to the eastern side of Etosha Park and our camp in the Namutoni region.

Day 3 - East Etosha to Windhoek - Namibia

We leave Etosha Park taking a long drive back to Windhoek, we are travelling on the main road, passing through towns and rural areas and we will make time to make a stop in the small town of Okahandja, the home of Namibia's largest wood carving market.  The stalls operated on a local co-operative basis and are one of the best places to shop for truly Namibian souvenirs.
 
We are due back in the city at around 16:00 when you will be dropped off at your accommodation bringing this Etosha National Park Camping Safari to a close.

Please Note:

• Maximum group size is 14 travellers.
• Minimum group size is 2 travellers.
• Itinerary is assisted comfortable camping with participation limited to only helping with the tents. The price is virtually fully inclusive of everything you will need whilst travelling in Namibia.

The following vehicle types may be used on safari:

• 2 – 3 guests:  4×4 double cabin vehicle
• 4 – 5 guests:  Toyota Quantum / Hi-Ace with purpose built trailer
• 6 – 14 guests:  Toyota Dyna truck – specially modified safari vehicle
