Your 2-Day Budget Pilanesberg Camping Safari adventure begins with an early morning pickup from Johannesburg in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
After a scenic drive with a short refreshment stop, arrive at Pilanesberg National Park and set off on your full-day open-vehicle game drive. Experience close-up encounters with Africa’s Big Five, guided by expert rangers who use radio-linked communication for the best wildlife sightings.
We stop to enjoy lunch at a scenic rest camp in the park, and then continue our game-viewing on an afternoon game drive.
Following our exciting full-day game drive, we check in at our safari camp located just minutes from the park gate. Unwind at camp and in the evening enjoy a delicious traditional African dinner under the stars.
Travel Highlights:
Rise early for a 3-hour morning game drive with your expert rangers, maximizing your chances of spotting wildlife in the cool early hours. After a hearty breakfast at camp, take some time to relax and soak in the tranquil bush surroundings, or join an optional short closed-vehicle safari for one last game-viewing experience. Later, depart Pilanesberg in a comfortable vehicle, with a refreshment stop en route, and return to Johannesburg by early evening.

Camp at a comfortable Safari Camp on a rustic 3,000 m² property within the Bagatla tribal lands alongside the Pilansberg Nature Reserve. Enjoy comfortable dome tents, shared ablution blocks with hot showers, a communal boma and fire area, a basic outdoor kitchen, limited Wi-Fi (subject to availability), and optional nearby ranger-led nature walks.
