Itinerary for this Tour

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park - Tanzania

Jambo (hello) and a warm welcome to Tanzania! Your guide will collect you in a 4x4 safari vehicle from your hotel in the center of Dar Es Salaam. Your private Tanzania Safari to the Southern Safari Circuit begins with a drive to Mikumi National Park (about 6h) with tasty packed lunches provided.

We arrive at Camp Atupele which is about 15 minutes away from Mikumi Park. After relaxing a bit we take you for an afternoon game drive in an open-sided, 4x4 safari vehicle to see your first elephants, buffalos, and other wildlife roaming the beautiful plains of Mikumi. After this exciting drive, we'll return to our camp to enjoy a delicious supper and relax to the sounds of the animal nightlife around us.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park - Tanzania

We make an early start after breakfast, ready to go on our first game drive of the day. The entire day will be spent on exploring the unspoiled bush on 4x4 game drives, spotting wildlife including elephants, zebras, antelopes, warthogs, and giraffes. Predators like lions, wild dogs, hyenas, and even leopards are also found here. Mikumi is one of Tanzania's important birding areas with over 400 species recorded. Bateleur Eagle and the African Fish Eagle to name but two. After a day filled with many exciting moments, we return to our camp, where a hearty meal and a comfortable, relaxing evening await us.

Day 3: Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam - Tanzania

After breakfast, we leave Mikumi National Park with all its wild inhabitants and drive back to Dar es Salaam. Packed lunches will be provided on this pleasant trip back to Dar es Salaam. Arriving in the city center you will be dropped off at your hotel, bringing your short Tanzania safari to a close.
