Southern Tanzania Budget Safaris

The Southern Tanzania Safari Circuit includes some of the biggest protected areas in Africa - vast tracts of rugged wilderness largely unaltered by human development. Here you will experience truly wild Africa and encounter an incredible diversity of wildlife without having to fight the crowds for front row seats. 

Types of Southern Tanzania Safari Tours:

Our budget tours to the Southern Tanzania Safari Circuit are private, small group safaris. You can choose between fly-in safaris and overland tours that travel by road, or a combination of the two. 

Our Southern Tanzania Safaris are all lodge tours that stay at comfortable safari lodges or tented (mobile) camps on a full-board (all meals included) basis. These private safaris travel in groups of seven clients at most, providing an exclusive safari adventure. Transport is in a 4x4 safari vehicle and each tour is conducted by a professional English-speaking driver/guide.

All of our Budget African Safaris to the Southern Tanzania Safari Circuit can be extended by adding on an optional beach holiday to either Zanzibar or Mafia Island for the ultimate African bush and beach getaway. 

Southern Tanzania Safari Destinations visited:

• Mikumi National Park
• Ruaha National Park
• Selous Game Reserve
• Udzungwa Mountains National Park

We do not feature safaris to Mahale National Park and Katavi National Park at this stage, because these are less budget-friendly destinations. This is due to the higher costs of the park fees, accommodation, and transport to and from these remote parks.

• Northern Safari Circuit (Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire) to add some famous safari destinations to the mix and catch the annual Great Migration.
