At the start of this family-friendly Pilanesberg Safari Tour, you will be collected in Johannesburg (or Pretoria). Leaving the city behind, you will be driven about 168 kilometers to Pilanesberg National Park. After exploring the Big 5 game reserve in the air-conditioned tour vehicle for a few hours, guests check in at the Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge.
Enjoy a light lunch and relax at the 4-star lodge before embarking on a late-afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the African wilderness and wildlife before returning to the lodge for a delicious dinner in the restaurant as the sun sets.
We start the day with hot beverages before embarking on a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Pilanesberg with a professional ranger. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, guests can enjoy optional activities offered by Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge, such as a guided bush walk or a game-tracking activity, or visit the reserve’s wildlife center or Predator’s World (additional costs apply). Alternatively, you can enjoy the modern amenities of the lodge, unwind at the pool, watch wildlife at the waterhole, and take a siesta in your comfortable room.
In the late afternoon, guests can join another 4x4 game drive before enjoying dinner at the lodge restaurant.
Start day three of your Pilanesberg Safari Tour with a hot beverage before embarking on a 3-hour dawn game drive with a trained ranger in Pilanesberg Game Reserve. After an action-packed game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast.

We have an early start to the last day of our Big 5 Pilanesberg Safari. Start with a refreshing tea or coffee before going on a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Pilanesberg National Park. As you explore the bush in the lodges' 20 seater open-sided safari vehicle, your professional guide tells you more about the wildlife, plants, birds, and habitats found here.
We return to the luxurious lodge for a hearty breakfast; pack up and get ready to check out by 11:30 am and spend the rest of the morning relaxing at the lodges' fantastic facilities—lounge by the pool, book a spa treatment, or enjoy lunch (at own expense).
The standard shared shuttle transfer collects guests between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM for the return journey to Johannesburg, with drop-off between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

This Pilanesberg safari package includes a pick-up service between 05h30 and 07h00 from any hotel or address in Johannesburg or central Pretoria. At the end of your tour, you are dropped off at any hotel or residence in Johannesburg or central Pretoria, from around 17h30.
Transfers on this Pilanesberg Safari Tour are conducted in an air-conditioned minibus (Quantum). Transfers to and from the lodge are in a shared vehicle for 2 to 12 people. You will be collected and dropped off at your accommodation in these enclosed tour vehicles at the start and end of your safari.
