This 2-day Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge Safari is an excellent-value Big 5 safari experience in the Pilanesberg National Park of South Africa, starting and ending in Johannesburg. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to embark on both closed and open-vehicle game drives with expert guides.

Guests will be transported from Johannesburg to Pilanesberg National Park in the morning. After exploring the game reserve in our enclosed transfer vehicle for a few hours, we check in at Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge. Following a light lunch and some relaxation time, we embark on a late-afternoon game drive in the reserve with a trained ranger in an open safari vehicle. At sunset, we return to the lodge for a delicious dinner at the restaurant.
We start the morning with hot beverages before embarking on a 3-hour morning game drive through the Pilanesberg National Park. After our early game drive, guests enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge and prepare for a closed-vehicle game drive between 11h30 and 12h00. We depart for the return trip to Johannesburg at about 15h00. You will be dropped off at your post-tour accommodation in the city at about 17h30, bringing our Pilanesberg Safari to Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge to a close.
Pilanesberg National Park is a wildlife reserve near Rustenburg in the North West Province of South Africa. The park was established in the 1970s on the site of an extinct volcano, and it features a unique landscape that includes rocky outcrops, open grasslands, wooded valleys, and a large central lake. The park also has several bird hides, where visitors can observe and photograph the park's diverse birdlife, including over 360 species. Transfers on this Pilanesberg Safari are conducted in an air-conditioned minibus (Quantum). The transfers to the lodge and back, are in a shared transfer vehicle with 2 to 12 people. You will be collected and dropped off at your accommodation in these enclosed tour vehicles at the start and end of your safari.
During your stay at the Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge in Pilanesberg National Park, your game drives are conducted in either an open-sided 4x4 safari vehicle or an open 20-seater safari vehicle.
