Your 5-Day Botswana Chobe & Moremi Safari begins on arrival at Kasane Airport. From here, a short road transfer takes you to Chobe Safari Lodge on the banks of the Chobe River.
Over the next two days, explore one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich regions with morning and afternoon game drives in Chobe National Park and an unforgettable boat safari directly from the lodge, in search of the animals, large and small, gathered along the banks of the mighty Chobe River. Afternoons can be spent relaxing by the pool, visiting the spa, or enjoying serene sundowners overlooking the river.
Established in 1959, Botswana’s very first safari lodge, Chobe Safari Lodge, combines history with modern comfort on well-placed and expansive riverfront grounds. Wildlife such as bushbuck, warthogs, hippo, and over 100 bird species roam the property, while Chobe National Park — home to the world’s largest elephant population — lies right next door.
The lodge offers multiple indoor and outdoor dining venues, two pools, bars, a spa, a curio shop, and an informative Elephant Centre, allowing guests to set their own pace. Stay in beautifully spacious, en-suite rooms spread across the property to create a relaxed, uncrowded feel. High Tea is served each afternoon at the Pavilion, while the lodge boasts its own jetty for boat safaris, with the secluded riverside Sedudu bar alongside.
After breakfast, your 5-Day Botswana Safari takes a short road transfer back to Kasane Airport. Board a light aircraft for a scenic flight into the lush heart of the Okavango Delta.
Your safari now shifts from the Chobe River to the Okavango Delta, linking two of Botswana’s most iconic wildlife regions in one seamless itinerary.
Touching down at Moremi Crossing, the next two days are spent exploring one of Botswana’s most authentic wilderness areas through a blend of land- and water-based safari experiences. Your choice of game drives within the private concession and through Moremi Game Reserve, walking safaris, mokoro excursions, and tranquil boating (water levels permitting) reveal a constantly changing landscape of floodplains, palm islands, and abundant wildlife.
Spend leisurely evenings around the firepit, sharing stories under magnificent star-filled skies.
Perched on a palm-fringed island overlooking the Boro River, which borders Chief’s Island and the Moremi Game Reserve, Moremi Crossing blends classic safari heritage with relaxed Okavango Delta living.
The airy crescent-shaped main area is raised on stilts, with expansive views over floodplains frequented by elephants, red lechwe, and a host of other animals and prolific birdlife. Facilities include a swimming pool, safari shop, and central charging station. Powered by solar with backup generators, the camp features spacious canvas tents tucked into the riverine forest among towering palms. Enjoy floodplain views from your private elevated deck, comfortable furnishings and en-suite bathroom with double basins, flushing toilet, and an indoor/outdoor shower.
After your last camp breakfast, bid the camp staff farewell and enjoy some final game-viewing as you head to the airstrip to board your scheduled light aircraft flight to Maun. On your arrival in Maun, your 5-Day Botswana Safari: Chobe & Moremi Itinerary comes to an end.
