A 12 Day Game Feast. This Safari makes use of 4 - 5 star accommodation for the duration of your stay in Kenya and Tanzania at a fantastic price!
The Safari starts off with a nights stay in Nairobi, Kenya's Capital City. It's then off to Lake Nakuru National Park and onwards to Kenya's flagship reserve, the Masai Mara National Park.
From the Masai Mara we cross over the border into Tanzania and on the the Serengeti National Park where we base ourselves for a few days. We go in search of Africa's "Big 5" and if your time it right we will be witness to one of the most spectacular wildlife dispays in Africa, the Wildebeest Migration.
We will visit the Ngorongoro Crater one of the last few "Garden's of Eden" left in the world. We will see a display of wildlife found no where else in Africa. This is truly a magnificant experience.
Its then off to Lake Manyara National Park before heading across the border back into Kenya and onwards to Amboseli National Park where we keep an eye out for the game we might have missed along the way.
The Safari ends back in Nairobi, Kenya.
Upon arrival at Nairobi Airport (NBO) you will be met by your safari guide and taken to the 5 Star Nairobi Serena Hotel where you will spend your fist night on the Best of Kenya and Tanzania Parks Safari. Meal Plan: Breakfast.
After breakfast we head towards Lake Nakuru National Park for the first game drive on this African safari. Nakuru NP is famous for its Pink Flamingos, White Rhino, lion, and leopard. We drive to the edge of Lake Nakuru to view thousands of birds feeding on the water’s edge. After taking in the sweeping views from the top of Baboon Rocks, we make our way out of the park keeping eye's open for warthogs and waterbucks as we leave.
Dinner and overnight stay is at a deluxe safari lodge, Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge, both 4 Star. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
After breakfast we depart Lake Nakuru, driving to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya's flagship national park. Masai Mara is home to the world famous Wildebeest Migration and also famous for its big cats, namely lion, leopard and cheetah. On our way to our safari lodge we do some game viewing, arriving in time for dinner. Our overnight stay is at a 5 Star luxury safari lodge, Mara Simba Lodge, Mara Sarova or Mara Serena Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
On day four we take a morning and afternoon game drive in this spectacular Masai Mara Game Reserve, offering superb opportunities for wildlife photography. Masai Mara hosts a permanent population of plains game and
Africa’s Big Five - elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino are commonly sighted.
We return to the luxury safari lodge, Mara Serena Lodge, Mara Simba Lodge or Mara Sarova for dinner and our overnight stay in the wilderness of Kenya. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
After breakfast we pack up and leave our safari lodge at the Masai Mara taking a picnic lunch for along drive. Today’s journey takes us from the Masai Mara across the Kenya and Tanzania border into Tanzania. We head straight for the Serengeti National Park via Ndabaka Gate.
This vast Tanzanian national park is aptly named Serengeti, meaning 'endless plains' in the local Masai language. The park lies on a high plateau between the Ngorongoro highlands and the Kenya–Tanzanian border. If there is enough time we will take an en-route game drive in the Serengeti.
Our overnight stay on day five of the Best of Kenya and Tanzania Parks Safari is at a 5 Star luxury safari lodge, Serengeti Serena Lodge or Mabalageti Camp in Tanzania. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
On day six we wake up and enjoy a hearty breakfast, before heading off on a game viewing drive in the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti Park is the largest national park in Tanzania, covering about 14,763 sq km’s in area. This wilderness area has been summed up as 'one of the most unique areas in the world'. The Serengeti is home to the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa with an abundance of wildlife including wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, topi, buffalo, and hartebeest among others.
The Serengeti is also famous for predator populations, including lion, cheetah, Leopard and hyena. This wilderness area also hosts a wide variety of birdlife, estimated to be in the region of 500 species.
We return to our safari lodge for dinner and our overnight stay at Serengeti Serena lodge or Mbalageti Camp, both 5 Star accommodation choices. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
After breakfast we set off on another day of game viewing in Serengeti National Park taking a picnic lunch along. On day seven you will explore various areas of the Serengeti, like Moro kopjes and Gol kopjes, with your safari guide. The expansive grasslands are interspersed by rocky outcrops called Kopjes, jutting up like islands out of the flat plains. Each of these geographic features supports their own wildlife communities. We visit the Seronera River that flows through the Serengeti, creating habitats for a variety of birds, mammals and reptiles.
In the afternoon we drive to Nabi Hill gate where we stop for a picnic lunch. After lunch we will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, our next stop on this Kenya and Tanzania safari.
This evening’s accommodation is at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, a deluxe safari lodge built into the contours of the Ngorongoro Crater rim. This luxury safari lodge is built out o volcanic rock and offers spectacular views over the Ngorongoro Crater floor. We enjoy dinner and sleep overnight at this great 5 Star safari lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Today after breakfast get ready for the wildlife spectacle known as Africa's Eden. We descend 2,200 feet for a thrilling day of game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is home of Africa's Big Five, as well as being one of the few places in Africa where the rare Black Rhino is found. The high concentration of animals in this 12-mile wide crater ensures superb game viewing. We return from a rewarding game viewing experience in the evening and have dinner at the 5 Star Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, Kirurumu Tented Lodge or Eunoto Retreat, where we stay overnight. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
After breakfast we travel to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the finest parks in Tanzania. At Manyara we embark on a morning and afternoon game drive, with your choice of a picnic lunch or lunch at your safari lodge. In the afternoon we visit Mto wa Mbu Village and the Great Rift Valley before returning to the safari lodge for dinner and overnight. On day ten we head to the town of Arusha after breakfast, with a picnic lunch. After lunch we continue to Amboseli National Park, our next safari destination. We cross the Tanzania and Kenya border at Namanga Manyara entering the Amboseli National Park. If time allows we will take a game drive en route to the 5 Star safari lodge for the night. We have dinner and stay overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge, Amboseli Oltukai Lodge or Amboseli Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Today is spent game viewing in Amboseli National Park, situated at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro (19,430 ft). Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Kilimanjaro on clear days, offering excellent photographic opportunities. We break for lunch at the lodge then head out on an afternoon game drive in search of elephant, giraffe, buffalo and many more wildlife species. We return for dinner at our overnight safari lodge, 5 Star Amboseli Serena Lodge, Amboseli Oltukai Lodge or Amboseli Sopa Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
After breakfast on the final day of the Best of Kenya and Tanzania Parks Safari we take a morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. After lunch at the luxury lodge we depart for Nairobi Airport, bringing the Kenya and Tanzania safari to a close.
