Combine two of Kenya's finest national parks on this all-inclusive Kenya Lodge Safari. Stay at top-quality safari lodges inside Tsavo National Park and Amboseli National Park, enjoying sweeping views of the plains of Africa flanked by Mount Kilimanjaro.
Explore both Tsavo and Amboseli parks on 4x4 safari drives in search of Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife found in these beautiful Kenyan game reserves. Tsavo, best known for its lions, is one of Kenya's oldest and one of the world's largest reserves. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and close-range wildlife sightings with the majestic Kilimanjaro as a scenic backdrop.
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to be met by our English-speaking driver at the start of this Kenya Lodge Safari. From Nairobi, you are then transferred to Tsavo National Park in southeastern Kenya.
After about a three-and-a-half-hour drive we arrive at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, located inside Tsavo West National Park. We have lunch and settle in at the safari lodge, which offers sweeping views over the plains and a watering hole. Then we set off on our first 4x4 safari drive in search of the wildlife found in Tsavo National Park, one of the hugest game parks in the world.
Back at the safari lodge it's time for dinner and relaxing in the bar with your travel companions. The views reveal Mt Kilimanjaro in the distance and the game watching at the watering hole is excellent. At night you can hear the sounds of wild animals from your bed.
Tsavo East and Tsavo West together cover some 13747km², making this one of the biggest game reserves on earth. Famous for the lions of Tsavo, this national park is also home to the rest of the Big Five of Africa – buffalos, leopards, rhinos, and elephants. Other inhabitants include a variety of antelopes, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, and hippos.
Wake up to views of the African wilderness and enjoy breakfast. On day two of our Kenya Lodge Safari, you embark on 4x4 safari drives in Tsavo Park. On our morning and afternoon game drives in this vast national park, you can expect to see plenty of animals roaming the arid plains.
At Kilaguni optional activities include walking safaris with a trained naturalist, bush dinners, Mzima Springs visits, sundowners, and tours of the Rhino Sanctuary. Tonight you can look out for animals at the waterhole, sit back and relax and enjoy an optional traditional African dance performance.
Day three of your Kenya Lodge Safari starts with breakfast before leaving Kilaguni and the magnificent Tsavo National Park.
After about an hour and a half, we arrive at the famous Amboseli National Park, second only to Kenya's Mara in popularity. We stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, tucked away in a grove of trees inside Amboseli. Lunch is followed by some free time to relax and enjoy the facilities at the safari lodge, which features a pool.
Then we venture into this beautiful national park on an afternoon game drive, which usually offers close-up photographic opportunities of the wild animals.
Today we spend a full day game viewing in Amboseli Park. We explore in our 4x4 safari vehicle, with lunch back at the lodge between our morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli National Park, like Tsavo, covers open plains and features low vegetation which makes it easy to spot the animals.
In the evening we return for dinner at the safari lodge, offering lovely vistas of Amboseli's open grasslands and marshes with Mount Kilimanjaro as the majestic backdrop.
Amboseli is famous for close encounters with big herds of elephants. This Kenyan national park is a photographer's paradise combining close-range wildlife sightings with scenic landscapes, featuring the towering Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest mountain. The vegetation of the Amboseli varies seasonally with green swamps in rainy times and arid bush in dry periods, both well-suited to game viewing. Wildlife sightings include the big cats of Africa, as well as the Big Five of Africa.
On the last day of our Kenya Lodge Safari we have breakfast and then drive back through rural Kenya to the capital city, Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you can be transferred to the international airport or the post-safari accommodation of your choice.
