The Port Elizabeth International Airport is often used as the starting or ending point for tours to South Africa's Garden Route, Wild Coast and KwaZulu-Natal region, among others.
The small city also commonly serves as an access point for visiting the well-known Addo Park and the top-notch private game reserves of the malaria-free Eastern Cape, such as Kariega, Kwandwe and Shamwari.
