This 7 day Big Five African Safari departs from the town of Arusha in Northern Tanzania and heads out on a journey to discover three of the top game parks in Tanzania.
Our first stop will be Lake Manyara National Park, followed by the famous Serengeti National Park and lastly the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater.
Each destination has something unique to offer from wide open plains with untamed wildlife to Africa's Big 5 and stunning vistas. An affordable and fun journey through a truly magnificent region of the world!
On day one of the Tanzania Deluxe Safari, you will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your 5 Star overnight lodge in Arusha, Tanzania.
Over the next few days, we will explore the world-class game reserves of Tanzania's Northern Safari Circuit.
In the morning we drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara, taking a picnic lunch for along the way.
We arrive at Lake Manyara in the afternoon and take our first game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park. Scenic Lake Manyara is best known for its rich birdlife hosting an array of waterbirds and migrant species, including massive flamingo flocks at times. Wildlife sightings include black and white rhino, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and baboon, as well as leopard.
Our overnight stay is at a 5 Star safari lodge or tented lodge in the Lake Manyara area.
After breakfast, we depart Lake Manyara and head to the Serengeti National Park via the famous Olduvai Gorge. We stop to visit the Olduvai Museum and Gorge, the archaeological site where fossils of our earliest human ancestors and their tools have been unearthed.
There is also the option of visiting a Maasai village to encounter Kenya's best-known ethnic group - the semi-nomadic Maasai. Then we enjoy an en-route game drive to our 5 Star safari lodge or tented lodge at the legendary Serengeti Park.
We spend a full day game viewing in the famous Serengeti National Park taking a break for your choice of a hot lunch at the safari lodge or a picnic lunch in the bush.
The largest national park in Tanzania, Serengeti covers about 14 760 km² of open plains and wilderness. This unique wildlife reserve hosts an awe-inspiring abundance of large mammals including masses of herbivores such as wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, topi, buffalo, and hartebeest among others. The Serengeti Park is also famous for predator populations, especially big cats - lion, cheetah and leopard.
After a rewarding day of game viewing, we return to the 5 Star safari lodge or tented lodge for our overnight stay.
On day five we take a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, stopping for a picnic lunch at Nabi Hill gate.
We then head for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area enjoying a game drive en-route. Our journey takes us via the Malanja Depression through various Masai villages where these distinctive East Africans can be seen going about their daily lives.
We arrive at the 5 Star lodge in the Ngorongoro Crater area in time for dinner.
After breakfast, we set off for the game-rich Ngorongoro Crater and embark on a six-hour game drive followed by a cultural excursion to a local Masai village.
The Ngorongoro Crater is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, with almost every large mammal represented across the range of natural habitats here. Exploring the floor of the world's largest unflooded volcanic crater offers superb wildlife sightings!
