Overland or Fly-in Safaris to Ruaha Park

Given its remote location, we feature both fly-in and drive-in (overland) safaris to Ruaha, as well as combination safaris that drive to Ruaha and include a return flight to Dar es Salaam. For safaris to the Southern Safari Circuit parks of Tanzania, you will typically drive to Ruaha although there are a few fly-in tours that fly from one park to the next. You can also choose to fly to the airstrip at Ruaha from other Tanzanian parks, such as Serengeti, or safari destinations like Arusha combining northern and southern Tanzanian destinations.

Ruaha Safari Accommodation

On Ruaha Safaris, accommodation is either at a mobile tented camp inside the national park or at a safari lodge nearby. Our budget-friendly safaris are based at a fully-serviced canvased camp inside Ruaha during the high season (July to mid-November). When the mobile camp is closed in the low season, we stay at a tented lodge just outside of the park.
