Birdwatchers can spot the grey kestrel, Jackson’s golden-backed weaver, black-headed gonolek, and red-chested sunbird. Vervet and colobus monkeys add to the experience, while shaded lawns make this an ideal spot for picnics and relaxation.
A Ramsar-listed wetland and one of the best places in Uganda to see the shoebill. The 2,400-hectare swamp hosts over 300 bird species, including papyrus specialists and migratory visitors. Explore by traditional wooden boat through papyrus channels; tours depart via Nakiwogo Landing, west of Entebbe.
Only 40 km away, Uganda’s bustling capital is easily reached via the express highway. Guided walking tours reveal cultural landmarks like the Kasubi Royal Tombs, Gaddafi Mosque, Uganda Museum, Baha’i Temple, and Kabaka’s Palace.
