Tanzania Safari Review of African Budget Safaris by Chris Anderson
It was a pleasure working with African Budget Safari. Daniel has been such a huge help through booking, COVID concerns, rescheduling, and last-minute details.
He knew the ins and outs of what we needed and was accommodating with a few special requests and changes we asked for.
My wife and I just returned home from a 12-Day Safari to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Despite the extra COVID protocols in place, we felt safe and were able to enjoy a fun and relaxing vacation.

We spent the first part of our adventure [...] going on game drives through Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Serengeti National Park. Our guide Mollel was FANTASTIC and taught us so much about the wildlife and ecosystems of Tanzania, as well as local culture and customs.

We stayed at Serena Hotels and Lodges throughout the Safari portion of the trip. These hotels offer excellent service, delicious food, and unique architecture set in or around the National Parks. We cannot say enough great things about the staff, rooms, and grounds at these hotels. ( see Chris's full review on Trustpilot)

Daniel De Lapelin Dumont African Travel Consultant
A native Capetonian, Daniel’s earliest explorations of South Africa were family camping trips to the then-small fishing villages of the Cape’s west and south coasts. After qualifying in travel and tourism, he soon discovered Southern Africa, like his uncle, TV Bulpin, and adventures such as a tandem skydive and Bloukrans bungee, which were captured on VHS! He headed over the pond where his ‘world tour’ took in Europe, North Africa, and Central America, before returning home to live in a suburb internationally renowned for senior citizens and shark attacks. When he’s not answering your calls and emails, you’ll probably find Daniel in the bush, with no reception or running water, but camera poised.
