Common Kruger Wildlife

Which animal sightings can you expect regularly in Kruger National Park?

Impalas occur in large numbers, usually in large herds

Wildebeest and zebras, usually also in herds

Elephants - one of the Big 5 of Africa

Giraffes

Kudus, nyalas, duikers

Hippos and crocodiles (especially in the southern part of the park, where there is a lot of water)

Buffalos - one of the Big 5 animals

Warthogs

Baboons and vervet monkeys

Leopard tortoises

Mongooses

Another series of the animals we saw regularly from far and near.

We also saw a lot of birds, but I will put that in a separate email (Kruger safari birds), for the bird lovers.
